Look for a school that offers a degree that you are interested in and go for it! I am so glad that i Found a school that offers a sign language interpreting degree because i have enjoyed every day of it!
Go to a college that not only has your expected major, but is also a highly regarded school in the field. I came to UALR expecting to be a Computer Science major. I chose UALR because of their extreme excitement about Computer Science. Later I discovered that I would rather be a Biology major. Luckily, UALR has one of the largest and best Biology departments in the United States. It's okay to change majors while you are still in college. Don't major in something that you don't want to, because you will be miserable all your life. College is a time to figure out what you want to do, and just generally find yourself. Don't give in to the pressure of anyone telling you to change majors just because of the money that comes with the career. Always do what you want to, because your life is no one's call but your own!
