I wish I had known that they don't offer very many scholarships to nontraditional students or transfer students; and that the ones they do offer they want you to be a full time student which doesn't work for a nontraditional student who works full time as well.

I wish I had someone to tell me what professors to take and which ones will ruin your lives. It really helps to connect with an upperclassman to get advice. Also, make friends with the university staff because you never know when you'll need a friend with connections.

I wish I had a little better idea how demanding the work load would be and have more knowledge of all resources availabk\le to me.

My high school did not prepare me for the amount of work I would be doing in college. The work is much harder than I had expected. I was in the top of my class in high school and did not need to study. When I went to college it was a big shock because I actually had to study and I had to teach myself how to study.

I wish I had known more about their merit scholarships. They do not advertise them at all, so you have to be on the search for them. If I had known about them, I may have gotten more money for this year.

About parking... Parking can be kinda crazy at times. But other than parking i recommend UFAS to any student looking to futher their education.

The first time I came to school I was 18 and immature. I now have a two year old son. Im married. I wish I had understood how lucky getting to go to school is for a person. It's a blessing and you shouldn't take it forgranted.

I have always wanted to go to college and I couldn't afford to go to larger colleges so I decided to attend UAFS and it has been a great college. One thing that I didn't really realize at that time, but wouldn't have changed my decision either way, is just how small the campus is. I had expected it to be small but I didn't really think it would be a school that I would get used to so soon. I know there is many oppurtunities UAFS offers but I hunger for change.

That college is definately not like High School at all. I would have also told myself that I need to get ready all the work and practicing I'm going to need to start doing, and I would have told myself not to mess around and start being a serious student and start working hard because this is what's going to decide on what I'm going to be doing for the rest of my life. It's serious stuff so be ready for it man!

I wish i would have known more study skills before coming here, but it wasn not hard to adjust and learn what you needed to learn to succeed in your academics because of the help from the students and faculty.
