I am currently a junior at the University of Arkansas. I've only attended the college for one year and so far, I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience. It's easy to find somebody to talk to and everyone is really open to meeting one another. I'm a part of the art program and I think it is absolutely amazing. However, the type of art that I really want to do is video art, and there's not much of a video major. There are only a few classes that really fall into this category, I suppose I should've researched this a little bit before choosing. However, with this being the case, I've talked with my advisor and spoken to other students and teachers who have been able to help guide me down a path that I believe will pay off. Overall, the University of Arkansas is a very beautiful campus and provides many different types of classes for anybody who would want to attend.
Being three hours away from home, I have found myself calling Fayetteville home now! I love the college and the town! I am glad that I choose U of A the college in which I will pursue a Bachelors of Science in Nursing! My first semester has been great and I foresee my college experience being just as I had hoped at the U of A!
I love my school with my whole heart. People tend to give Arkansas a bad reputation, but the funding the school has because of Walton is insane. People are die hard razorback fans and its amazing being able to see people who have such a love and passion for a school. Fayetteville is such. safe place and the people within the city are so amazing. I love having people from all over at my school and I have never made such amazing friends until I got to Fay.
My opinion of the University Of Arkansas is that it is a great college surrounded by a wonderful community. The professors and faculty are all very easy to get ahold of and are friendly! Plus, there is plenty of extracurricular activities on campus, as well as outside it.

friends and connections! the dorm first year experience is definitely the way to go
Most of my classmates are from the south, and are nice and well mannered.
I love the University of Arkansas. The professors are approachable and understanding. The campus is gorgeous year-round. The students are kind and helpful and fun.The offices are managed well and are always helpful and patient.
It's big enough to not get bored, but small enough that you can really get to know people (often of many different ethnicities)

There is not a lot of diversity race wise, and most of the campus activities circle around fraternities and sororities. I used to be in a sorority, and I believe that both fraternities and sororities on this campus have an unrealistic view of how much a student can handle, meaning they fine you money if you dont make social events, even if you were studying for a test. This is why I am no longer in a sorority and dont agree with anything they stand for.
Someone that is unwilling to implement time management and sacrifice social time for study time.
My favorite thing about the University of Arkansas is the atmosphere of the campus. The professors really care about your success, and the students in the classes are there to learn, which is awesome!
My school has a lot of school spirit, and not just about sports. I, for one, don't have any interest in sports, but I love my school. Of course there's always room for improvement, but I have no regrets about choosing the University of Arkansas.
The teachers and school do not set students up for success, you get the run around from all the staff to try to get anywhere financially or academically.
Focused, well rounded confident person
The most frustrating thing that I have noticed about my school so far is the excessive expenses such as parking stickers and orientation fees.
I think we are best known for our tradition. The school still records the name of every graduate in the sidewalk. The name of every alumni of that school can be found permanently recorded in those walkways.
I brag about the size of our campus.
I believe there is a stereotype that UofA students spend most of their time partying at the local bars/pubs nearby the campus. However, most of the students I have come into contact with have expressed their eagerness to do well in school and how hard they work at keeping their grades up. It is a small population that constantly parties instead of taking their classes more seriously.
I have some family in Fayetteville which made a difference for sure but the campus is probably the greatest factor outside of family that helped me pick the U of A. The second was the architecture program which is great and that was my original major.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible.
