The most important thing that parents and students should consider when finding the right college is to make sure you have the proper funding. Understanding the financial aid process is very critical when applying to diiferent colleges.

The University of Bridgeport is culturally diverse, so as long as you work hard and remain focused you can succeed there.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The only frustrating thing that I have experienced at my school is receiving additional funding when my father passed away during my first semester, and the income within my household dropped by 80%. I contacted the President of the college and nothing could be done to help me.

It's really hard to find what's good and what's not too good so I suggest for parents or students to do alot of research in finding out what's out there. Make sure to pick something that is best for them and don't settle with the first few schorlarship that comes up because there's always a better option out there. And there's always somthing that fit everyone needs, so don't give up because it's really tough out there and make sure to speak to an specialist that can also be an assistance.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

First, parent don't pressure your children. Listen to them and let them choose their own path because they are the ones who must follow it. For all the students, first figure out what exactly you want to do. Then Find a college that has all or most of your interests. Don't just follow your friends. Really invest time into what school you will choose to attend because thats where you're most likely going to be for the next four years. Choose a place that will challenge you and also help you gow so that you may rise to your full potential, complete all your goals, and make your dreams come true. Also, dream big and think positive and you'll be sure to succeed.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing about my school is thescheduling. I don't think they took enough time to help freshman understand what exactly they had to do when it came to signing up for class for the next semester.
