It is very expensive to live here, but we'll see if worth it in the Fall. I like how natural the campus is, there is a lot of trees and a creek. Everyone rides a bike here, so that's fun. The bio classes are impacted but they have huge lecture halls for everyone.

Great academic school, okay at athletics. Dining halls are very good, but gets repetetive. Campus facilities are nice, some classrooms and bathrooms need to be cleaned way more. The gym is being re-done now, but should be very nice when finished. The campus is very large when you have to walk across campus to class. It smells like cows and it gets very hot and it rains a lot. Everyone rides bikes.

I do genuinely enjoy Davis. A small, loving community that is there to help you grow and succeed. As a freshman, I felt immediately welcomed. I felt that the new road ahead of me will be filled with opportunities, challenges, but most importantly success. I do feel there are some needed improvements, but that's everywhere. You make most of where you are because that is where you're going to grow, going to learn, going to live your life.

Davis has a very fruitful and enriched campus filled with bustling students and busy faculty. Although academics are of the utmost importance, it's not always easy to find friends to connect with. I transferred to Davis , nervous to find a group to belong to. I did end up meeting some wonderful people, but I wouldn't suggest that Davis is a very social campus. My time at Davis has definitely been positive though. It has opened numerous doors that have led me down the path to success. For example, I started an internship at the Center for Mind and Brain that has given me access to different professors who are able to give me insight on grad school and what I want to do with my neuropsychology career. Like all students, my first year away from home was a rocky start, but I pride myself in studying at UC Davis and being a small cog in a larger machine to help better the world.

It is overall a good school. The atmosphere and community is the best part. And everything else is pretty good. I think most people would be able to find their place in this campus. Even if you didn't want to come here, most people come to love it. And there are so many career opportunities and extracurricular.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I am a proud Aggie and can not wait until fall quarter. My heart belongs at Davis considering it embraces diversity and accepts differences. I encourage younger generations to take a look into UC Davis as it has much more than I expected. The city revolves around the students so the demand for activities to do is high. Greek life is important at UC Davis as well and the varieties vary from high to low.

University of California Davis is a beautiful campus which provides a great educational experience. The learning environment is very conducive, and I very much appreciate that Davis places emphasis on individual successes rather than competitive success among a group of people. There is such a diversity of intellects and interests among the students that to compare apples to oranges would only be destructive. After all, success is a subjective matter anyway. The staff is very warmhearted and the food is pretty good being as Davis is a very agricultural school. I LOVE that I can just walk up and pet the cows whenever my heart so desires. Possibly the most productive part of campus is the ARC. It definitely motivates me to stay active. Davis's small town vibe is very welcoming and I never feel unsafe--alone at night or otherwise. I'm blessed that I was accepted and chose to go to University of California Davis. It has only been a year, but it has been a good one. On campus housing accommodated me and my roommate very well, no complaints. The Health and Wellness Center also was very helpful, especially during my six week episode of pneumonia! The only complaint I might have would be that I sometimes feel uncomfortable discussing politics as Davis is a very liberal school; that being said, it is a minor setback compared to all of the wonderful experiences and growth Davis has brought me thus far. I would definitely recommend Davis to anyone considering the option. You won't be disappointed.

Davis is a very nice oasis in the Central Valley. The town is small, but you can usually find what you need. Sports are not our number one priority but we still have good teams and support is strong. Classes can be extremely large and there are the occasional awful teachers, but that seems to be the norm everywhere. Also, classes can be hard to get into and sometimes your needed classes have schedule conflicts. The school is really expensive, making me question their desire to help students. There are free buses which is great for off campus living and the town and campus are great to bike in.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

What's captivating about UC Davis is that it is the most sustainable university in the world. In addition, their School of Veterinary Medicine is the largest veterinary school and ranks first among the nation’s vet school. Although Davis is not a busy or bustling college town, the campus is very student-focused, diverse, safe, and eco-friendly and sustainable. Also, it is actually more affordable than most UC communities. Regardless of your culture, religion, sexual orientation, or political beliefs, UC Davis is very accepting to everyone. There are a variety of clubs and student organizations that almost fulfills every academic, artistic, cultural, and spiritual interest.
