The fact that there are quite a few people who brag about going out to parties all the time and drinking. Some people drink way too much. I have never drank before and never will so it bothers me knowing that everyone, including my friends, are drinkers.

Some professors, especially in general lower division math and science classes are only employed for their research rather than there teaching abilities, which hurts the students academically.

The cost of education.

Since i have just transfered from a small schoolto a big enviroment, everything is totally different and very difficult to me. It's hard to make friend in here because everyone in here tends to know each other since 1st year. No one really cares about talks to new transfer student much, so it's hard fro me to get to learn about my school. It's really hard to contact to peer advisor. When I need help, falcuty keep guiding me from this building to another building on the campus which i haven't known around yet!

The wost thing about UC Davis is the occasional discussion group with a non-english speaking TA. There are a lot of GREAT TA's, but there are some that speak little to no english, making it very difficult to utilize them for help in a class. The TA for my math class could not count past 10 in english, which is why I found her minimally helpful in advancing my understanding of the class.

The only problem at Davis is that there is not much to do once class is done, socially I mean. One can always study, however, for breaks, there is a very limited amount of things a student can do localy.

The fact that it is hard to change your major and that many majors are so impacted it is hard to get classes that you need for those majors.

Maybe that bikes and buses are so encouraged on campus (in an effort to be environment-friendly), that there's not too many other ways to get around. In the name of environment-friendliness, campus parking is extremely expensive, becoming more "prohibitively expensive" than an "economic deterrent." This makes it hard for other people to drive, and walking is tough if you live off campus.

When there was a problem in the campus, the staff and administration typically would try to swipe it under the table instead of focusing on the problem. I was lucky to have a couple of classes that would hold open discussions about the problems on campus but my main concern is for those who didn't have that output.

I dont like how some professors can't teach, this can totally ruin student's grades and future. Another bad thing is I heard that my school grade hard and that a 3.4 gpa is considered very good. This isn't good because its unfair if our grades are being compared to others at other universities.

The worst thing about my school is that there are not many on-campus activites and events on the weekends. The campus is pretty much dead on the weekends, so there isn't much to do.

The surrounding area tends to be heavily undiverse. There isn't much cultural diversification off-campus.

Maybe too big for some students. Professors are boring, know a lot of stuff but don't know how to teach, hard to get in a class required by many majors

The worst thing about my school is that it is far away from home. Everything else is perfect about this school.
