Academic, doesn't mind a bad social life, interested in biology

The kind of person who should attend UC-Irvine should be someone interested in pursuing their interest in an active and inspiring environment. Students who seek to make lasting connections of friendships and mentorships with their peers and professors will find that UCI is the place that offers various resources for students to develop their talents, while providing the support for students to accomplish their goals.

People would are love there majors

UCI would be an ideal school for somebody who wants to be a Psychology and Social Behavior major because all other UCs only offer Psychology and Cognitive Sciences. I am interested not only in research, but psychology in a social aspect and how we affect the people around us and vice versa.

Someone who attends this school should be willing to devote themselves to school. Although there is a lot of fun to be had, the competition for the highest grade makes school work the number one priority. The frat parties are fun, but only in moderation.

Someone who is NOT looking for school spirit, shared ethnicity is what brings people together in this school. We also have a lot of "go green" people and those who want to help other countries.

Any kind of person could find some niche to fill at UCI. People are much more friendly here than the other schools I've toured. Anyone who has a love of scenery and landscape would appreciate the many trees and beautifully designed pieces of architecture around the school. I know from a personal standpoint that humanities majors would fit right in - there are a lot of us, and it's easy to find someone that is able to talk about the same things that you are learning, or might provide some insight to help with homework or some such.

Students who want to do research in the field of medicine would find UCI a good fit for their studies. There is also an excellent Classics Program for those students with an interest in Ancient Rome, Greece and language. The department is small and intimate, and all the undergraduate students are friends.

Any people with the drive to better themselves and their future through academic endeavors. People who enjoy a quiet and even paced atmosphere to thrive in should also apply.

Anyone can attend this school. There are people of all types at UC Irvine, so to allow one sort of student and not another type would be unfair. This school is big on Biology and research, so people going into those fields would also do well.

People who enjoy nature, bikes, circles and beach as well as people who want to do research should attend this school. In addition, people that do not want a cut-throat school.

I think a very academically driven person. Definately someone who knows what he/she wants to do. It's somewhat hard to change majors here. A person who studies a lot and is not looking for a very fun, spirited, party school.

UCI is a great school for undergraduates to do research, however it is a ten week course, so you need to get it in gear early and stick to it. So someone who picks things up quickly, or else youll get left behind.

Someone who doesn't mind large class sizes and students who are extremely competitive, especially in the biology department. To attend UCI, be prepared for an atypical college experience. The school doesn't particularly have a lot going on during the weekends because almost everyone goes home, especially during your first two years. There isn't a lot of school spirit, which probably is due to the lack of a powerhouse football or basketball team such as like USC or UCLA. I think UCI best fits a person who just wants to focus on their studies and not much else.

A person who is enthusiastic about life and what is to come. Also, someone who wants to find themselves. Someone who is not just digging themselves into books 24/7 (even though we have plenty of those here too.)

Anyone with an open mind! My school has so many people with their own diversity and culture, and I feel like that's what part of what makes UCI an awesome school :)
