What kind of person should not attend this school?


People who needs to commute but live more than an hour drive from here. Also, if you hate Asians, especially Chinese then do not come here. There is really nothing to do here so if you can handle that, then try it.


People who love football and wants to focus on only studying should not attend this school.


Honestly, this school is very Asian. 70 {4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the school is Asian, so if you feel uncomfortable around Asians don't come to this school. If you slacked off in highschool and don't plan on changing don't come to this school, because the competition at this school is tough and if you don't try you will be wasting your money. This school is very big, and there are a lot of students here, so if you don't like large schools with class lectures filled with 500 students then don't come here.


Dedicated and focused, rich and ruling-class with lots of extra money. White skin or asian. Conservative or radically conservative. Religious or religiously-inclided.

A lazy person


If you really don't take school work seriously then you probably shouldn't attend UC Irvine. There can be a lot of homework and studying and if you don't stay on top of it you can fall behind.


People who are lazy and who are not willing to put the time and effort into having a successful academic carreer, also, people who consider themselves "party animals" would likely not do well, additionally, someone who wants the feel of a "big campus" (i.e. a football team, lots of school spirit) may be dissapointed if they attend this university.


People who expect to have a huge campus life, who want to go to huge sporting events, who want to hang out on campus all the time, who don't have very much money


One who wants a lot of school spirit and wants to go to sporting events and support their school. This is an academic school.

This is a fast paced, academic enriched school so anyone who didnt do so well in highschool probably would not do very well here. It's on the quarter system and classes fly by. You have to be able to multitask as well as time manage effectively.


Someone who is looking for a place to enjoy school unity and spirit.


Extreme procrastinators shoudl avoid any quarter system school. UCI is located by the beach so be warned, temptation is there.


People who attend this school should be focused and ready to get out there and participate. UCI is a gorgeous school with a focus on research.


Those who can't drive. those who are more mature than their age. Those who are wanting a way differnet experience than their upper middle class suburuban home place.


The person that shouldn't attend this school is probably one that doesn't enjoy sunshine, beaches, and is only comfortable with a certain race.
