Just like any other universities, UCLA has its pros and cons.; however, as I am finishing up my first year, I have realized that UCLA does live up to its name as being one of the top universities in the US, if not, the world. Although some amenities can be improved (ex. bathrooms, some classrooms, campus restaurants) I have seen the workers at UCLA try their best to make the school cleaner and more comfortable for students. Moreover, professors try their best to accomodate students and their schedule. Students are always welcome to make an appoinment with their professors or TA's and I think this is really important for students. So overall, I am satisfied with UCLA.

I love UCLA and it has become my home in a matter of two years. UCLA is not only breathtaking beautiful, but also inspiring and welcoming. Every time I step foot on campus, I am honored to be a UCLA student. The education has been worth every penny and I feel at home when I am on campus. UCLA was the place where I truly found myself and I find myself in tears nearing graduation, knowing that I will not be returning in the fall.

In my opinion, this school is an incredible school with high expectations. This school's academical status is phenomenal. The professors are amazing and humble. As are the students, and are greatly friendly. This is by far the school you should want to go to.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

UCLA is where you can be both a small fish in a big pond and a big fish in a small found. With countless activities and opportunities, it may feel overwhelming, but when you do join an organization (club, leadership, social, academic, etc) you can become an active participant and leader and make your impact in a smaller space. Academically UCLA is challenging, but the curriculum offers you a variety of classes that not only fulfills requirements but leaves room for you to be able to explore your own interests. The campus and the food is unparalleled and you can truly feel at home for all four years. You will grow at UCLA, but it will be up to you to take advantages of all the opportunities.

My overall opinion of the University of California-Los Angeles is that it is a great school that promotes diversity and a welcoming sense of familiarity. There are so many clubs and foods for everyone to try that it would be difficult to not find something at this school that reminds one of home. I'm an incoming freshman for this Fall and I am beyond excited to attend and get to meet amazing new people at this lovely school!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

This university is a very diverse, peaceful, friendly, prideful, and academic school. There are many people of different cultures, ethnicities, race, and/or religion that work and attend this school. This allows people to interact with others that they wouldn't normally interact with in other environments. As a result of these interactions, the people have learned to accept one another, creating a peaceful and friendly environment. A characteristic of the people here is that they tend to have pride in themselves, towards people that inhabit the UCLA community, School Athletics, and Academics. Academics as mentioned is very valuable to the people in the UCLA community. They work vigorously and collaboratively as they strive to learn the material that they are taught, which allows them to earn good grades. I believe that this is what defines UCLA.

UCLA is an amazing school, with vibrant student life. School pride is the best I have seen from any school, and academics are top tier. Especially within engineering, it is evident that professors truly care about the students success. Research and student participation is encouraged, and a very positive learning environment is created.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The school has pros and cons. But the cons really stick out. The pros are that the campus is visually appealing and fairly clean. Campus restaurants are okay. I don't know about dorm food since I have never lived in the dorms. Recreational facilities are nice and well kept. The education is so-so depending on major and instructors. The career center workshops are great for information, free pizza, and okay for networking. Cons: Career fairs are basically only for CS, engineering, and business students while everyone else is left to fend for themselves. Businesses that come to the career fairs won't take your resume unless your one of those majors. There are tours nearly everyday and they are annoying. Seeing tourist taking pictures in the library is really annoying and especially if your in line at the restaurants. It's a big campus so you'll be walking up hill but its not too bad. Tutoring services (AAP) are only offered to brown skinned students, which is dumb because even my community college offered free tutoring to everyone. Other UC's do the same thing. Classrooms are hit and miss some are nice some are bad. There is an issue of people scamming their way into the university by paying people to forg their stats. Most come from China where cheating and forging is second nature others are rich LA kids whose parents paid thousands to get their dumb kid in. (Post lori loughlin scandal). Some Chinese and rich LA students were caught cheating and they still go here and the university hasn't kicked them out. Ironically USC has kicked out most of their cheaters. On campus housing is gross if you're in a triple. If you get a single or double it's not too bad.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

UCLA is a fantastic and supportive university. Professors are excellent and well versed in the areas that they lecture on and are for the most part very supportive about student learning. I have thoroughly enjoyed the sports culture here despite the fact that I am not that big into sports in general. The professionalism and general joy that is represented in our athletes is something you will not find at most universities. My one critique is that UCLA can be a very difficult place for out of state students and the overall cost is not very realistic for most people-- although I believe this to be true about most post-secondary schools. Overall, I have truly enjoyed my time at UCLA and believe that UCLA is a great place for anyone who is serious about their education but also wants to have a great time and enjoy life.
