Libraries are generally good places to study at except for midterm and finals week because they get too crowded. Seats out side of Coffee Bean are refreshing places to get work done too.

Every student works differently! Personally, I study best when I'm either outside in the shade, or in a cubicle in the Science Library. On the weekends, the HUB is a great place to study because it's virtually empty, has plenty of umbrellas, and the Coffee Bean is open for you to get a nice iced coffee! During the week, there are 2 libraries to choose from: the Tomás Rivera Library and the Science Library (they're open on the weekends, too). I prefer the Science Library because it's newer, has literally hundreds of study cubicles equipped with two electric outlets, as well as vending machines w/ coffee & snacks. During finals week, you can expect the Science Library to be jam-packed with eager students looking for A's! Honestly, though, it's completely up to you. Many students prefer studying in the privacy of their own dorms or homes. Every dorm hall has its own Study Lounge, so that's always an option as well.

Highlander Union Building (HUB) -> The quieter spaces are on the second and third floor. There are chairs and tables for you to study in groups or by yourself. -> Downstairs is the food court so you can get something to eat there when you get study-munchies. -> The front desk rents out laptops to students with their ID. Plus, you can pay there if you need something printed. -> The third floor has a decent view of the area surrounding the HUB Rivera Library -> Quiet. There are books that you can use to study from. Three floors have computers, each of these three has a printer/copiers/scanners. -> Printing/Reprographics is in the basement so if you need to copy a lot of stuff, they're the people to go to. -> There are study rooms that you can hold study groups in and you guys can talk amongst yourselves without disrupting other students. -> You can bring light snacks. Science Library -> Only been here once in my entire four years but people definitely adhere to the quiet policy here.

This is entirely dependent on the person, so I'm not sure why they would ask this. For me, it is usually a quiet place like the upper floors of buildings that have outside areas, but that have the issue of the cold on windy days. There is the commons, but one must always be careful of falling asleep, as I've often seen them do while studying on the third floor. The balcony of that building is the best part, though the fireplace would be nice if they would lite it. There are also plenty of study rooms in the libraries if one likes a nice closed off area. The library has the bonus of being slightly welcoming to snacking. There are plenty of other places, but really, I think people should find these places for themselves.

Everyone studies differently first of all. Most students tend to go to the library to do large assignments or study for exams, the large number of people studying helps to motivate yourself to stay on task, there are also several labs and study corrals all around campus that are usually quiet and good places to get work done. During exam weeks however it can be quiet difficult to find places to study due to their popularity however there is usually a spot for everyone if you remain persistent.

On campus there are many places to study. If just looking for a grassy, pretty place with a calm atmosphere there are the large stretches of greens in any direction of the belltower. There are multiple libraries that all offer study rooms for reservation, dorm study lounges with 24 hour quiet hours, and the hub offers study places as well. The best place however i would say is outside the health center, behind some hanging trees is a table with scenery and quiet that not many are likely to disturb.

For me, the best place to get my own work done is my dorm. My roommate and I have an agreement and our schedules are so different that we are hardly ever there at the same time, so it's easier for me to concentrate on my work. Other great places are the study lounges provided by the residence halls. There are also libraries on campus to choose from. It all depends on the type of person you are and your study habits. I personally am able to concentrate more when I'm working alone.

There are two libraries on campus: Rivera and the Science Library. I always head to the Sci Lib's third floor, which is silent 24/7 and has individual study carrels, plus comfy seats. In the dorms, there is a 24 hour study lounge, but it's sparse and 50/50 chance is that people in it are being rowdy instead of working. I also love working at the tables outside Coffee Bean under the trees when it's warm out!

For the most part, people study and do work at the library. But I've seen my fair share of students at the Starbucks next to our campus on University Ave. I like to work at home.
