What kind of person should attend University of California-San Diego?


Smart, studious students who also know when to relax should attend UC San Diego. Infamous for being a ten minute walk away from the beach, La Jolla prides itself on its radiant, sunny days and beautiful evening sunsets. UCSD is known for being a school focused on research in the science departments so engineers and future doctors should definitely consider this school. Students can bus to downtown San Diego and explore life in the city. Students who believe in “BIGGER IS BETTER” would feel right at home at this university which boasts a system that includes six different colleges.


A person who wishes to attend the University of California, San Diego must have a sort of intellectual curiosity. A love of learning will take you far. The grades are based off how well an individuals can think critically and make connections between key concepts. Simply showing up and doing minimal work will leave you behind the curve. Yet, taking one's learning into their own hands transforms willing individuals into scholars and allow them to truly shine at this school.

Unlike high school where teacher says they will treat the class as a college course and still hold your hand, the professors here will not go to you if oyu are failing so always seek help. Someone who is comfortable with a school that does not always specialize in school spirit but fosters growth through finding one's own special place or niche as many administrators call it. Also, one should be ready for a lot of walking as this campus is one of the largest.


A student that is very academically focus who doesn't require vibrant social opportunities in order to be satisfied with their college experience.


Students who are dedicated to academics and/or plan to go to grad/med school afterwards. There are also a lot of extracurricular and social activities and career-designed programs to help ambitious and social people enjoy their college experience.

The courses here are very challenging and academically rigorous. The professors are experts in their field and the students who attend are all from the top 10{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of their high school graduating class. Needless to say, the competition can be very stressful for some and it makes it that much more difficult to attain that elusive "A". However, there are SO many opportunities for research and internships through campus.


I think someone outgoing and bold should attend this school. It would be best if he/she enjoyed hot weather and doesn't mind a long walk across campus.
