When a parent asked me as a senior where i was going and responded with UCSB, they said "you're too smart for that." People seem to look at UCSB as a joke in some ways.

Some stereotypes are that all we do is party and lay out in the sun. I mean at least people are half right. What bothers me though is that people don't realize that the majority of the people attending UCSB are really intelligent and are also dedicated about academics.
