The best thing about my school is the availablity of majors and minor. This allows me to diverse my resume and what degrees I want to get.
The best thing about this school is friendliness of the campus community. There many places on campus to get homework help as well. This school is very culturally aware.
I think the best thing about my school is that my church is within walking distance of my campus. One big reason I decided to attend UCSB was the Catholic community of St. Mark's Church. It definitely factored in when it came to deciding on the school of choice. I have never been to a community like it.
The campus community. There is always going to be someone there for you to talk to, no matter what the circumstances are or requre.
The positive atmosphere, because from the day I got here I felt welcome. People here are don't stress very much about schoolwork.
The best things about UC Santa Barbara are the people and the location. The campus is beautiful and right next to the beach. The weather is perfect and the campus is not too big or too small, and you can get anywhere within fifteen minutes. The relaxed atmosphere is a reflection of the students. Everyone is very friendly and easy going. Whether you are a freshman or a senior the experience is unforgettable.
The best part of UCSB is the ability to have a fantastic social life, while still maintaining academic success.
The best thing is te sense of community and support.
It has opportunities for every type of student, everyone can have fun or study as much as they want.
the balance that everyone finds between being smart and getting good grades while maintaining fun social life.
The people and the environment of UCSB are flexible, social and diverse. I think the overall ambiance of the campus and the students bring people here; we have really smart students and faculty who know how to enjoy life outside of school.
The best thing about the school is the idea of work hard, play hard. Also the weather is great here, almost always sunny.
The best thing about UC Santa Barbara is the community. Most students live on campus or in Isla Vista, which is a small town right next to campus. Because of this, students are all in the same area, allowing them to interact, in sports, extracurricular activities and for school with ease. Most students also stay on the weekends. All of these factors work towards promoting a complete and secure campus for a well-rounded academic and social life.
The large compact number of students living in one area. This allows for students to meet a large number of people without even having to drive anywhere.
The campus is beautiful and relaxing. The people here are laid back and friendly but also very studious. The size of the campus is perfect for me; it is not too big and not too small. Because my school is on the beach and right next to the mountains there are many extracurricular activities I can do such as: hiking, swimming, surfing, boating, etc. There is also a small neighborhood of just students right next to campus which gives a sense of family to it.
diversity of personal characteristics
.
The fact that the learning here is research based.
I enjoy how pollitically active my school is because here, students take pride in knowing that they can make a difference in our country.
it was a very well rounded school in the way that you could focus on school or fun or both, whatever was best for you
The friends I made.
The resturants, the friendly people, the great class options, the awesome weather, and the OCEAN!!!
Living next to the beach, living in a small compacted community, the casual spirit of going to school here, and soccer.
Its a great school academically with 4 pulitzer prize winning professors, but it also has a great social life. The location is fantastic, as I got to live blocks from the beach for 4 years.
The best thing about UCSB is the balance between the social scene and a great research institution. There are 5 nobel prize professors at UCSB and there is also a great social setting if you want it.
You can not beat the location of UCSB! It is right on the beach so in between classes you can stop by and have some fun in the sun!
beautiful location!!! easy to find friends and have a good social life. everyone is very good looking and friendly. the ta's and professors are awsome and easy to participate in lecture and section. its easy to make the best out of this college without joining a sorority or fraternity. i love the campus and how its such a college town with a community full of students!!! very easy to grow independent from parents and personal growth too!
My violin professor is incredible. He is an amazing player, and doesn't rely on words alone to teach me - he plays.
The classes available. I think that there is such a wide variety of classes to chose from that it is hard to get bored with whatever path you choose, making it easy to stay focused. I chose Sociology and I loved every second (mminus the GE I had to do) because I was able to tailor my schedule and classes to be interesting to me.
The environment at UCSB is very conducive to learning more about oneself as a person, and there are plenty of programs and organizations to help build upon what a student may find within himself or herself.
A laissez-faire attitude towards living, we may not have the most cohesive student body but we certainly have a very accepting one.
UC Santa Barbara is a very personable campus. There is a huge focus on social life among the student body and consiquently most students are conversational and friendly, even to those they don't know. I have never had a problem getting to know someone new or simply striking up conversation with a stranger in a nearby coffee shop. Unlike at some campuses where competition is extremely heavy, UC Santa Barbara's student body is very relaxed and easy going, a quality that promotes a friendly and helpful atmosphere for the majority of its residence.
