1. THE LIBRARY! Personally, I don't have a lot of trouble studying in my room at home, but if you are someone who is easily distracted, go to the library. I get double the amount of work done when I go there. There is plenty of space, and it's easy to find a comfy spot to settle in. :) 2. Student Union. There are different floors with tables and seating that allows you comfortable and a (sometimes) quiet place to study. Especailly during finals week, the Student Union hosts reviews for classes that are particularily challenging, and discounted deals on coffee to keep you awake! 3. Reflection Pond. It's beautiful and relaxing...perfect for studying!
There are a couple places on campus that I enjoy doing my work, the library and the knights study lounge aka 24 hr study. I enjoy studying with little to no noise and these are the places I normally go. In the library each floor has different noise levels; the 1st-3rd floor allow noise and talking, and the 4th and 5th floor are quiet floors. So in the library there is a place for everyone. In the 24 hr study it is normally pretty quiet. There are other places aroudn campus that are pretty good for studying as well, and as you learn more and more about the campus you will find places that not many people know about, or places that work good for you.
The library is a great place to get work done (especially the 4th floor) if you can find space. Most students go there and I tend to avoid it if I can. As an engineering student, I usually take advantage of the atrium that has plenty of tables and is never full. But these aren't the only places on campus. Each building has study spaces on every floor and the students you find there vary by building. I suggest figuring out what building(s) that are occupied by your respective major and find the small study spaces. Some buildings even have study spaces that most students don't even know about; you just have to look!
Most People will probably suggest you go to the library, but the library can be crowded and noisy...especially during exam week! I have learned to find secluded areas such as the top floor of the union. They just opened a new building called technology commons. They have two study rooms that you can reserve that are very nice. There is also a study room by the arena that is new that has a room made of all windows so you can write all over them which i think is oober cool.
There is this wonderful computer lab next to the library called technology commons where they have Mac's and PC's.
The library is a great place to do homework
The library is your friend!
