I have enjoyed my first year at UCO. I was active in campus activities and successful in the classroom. I lived in the dorm and had no problems throughout the school year. I enjoyed having small class sizes and being able to get help from my professors. I would recommend it to prospective students.
In the fall of 2020, I began my college experience and have felt at home the entire time. Because of this experience, I have thus been able to get an apprenticeship at a funeral home to gain a greater knowledge into my area of studies. 2020 was the year this started and hopefully this adventure will never end.
Great environment, helps you to get involved and good professors. Some of the professors can be alittle mean or seem bothered like we aren’t here to learn. Overall, good school very hands on and they want you to be successful in and after school so they prepare you .
UCO is a great school for someone looking for a college that is not too expensive, nor too difficult. The academics goes right alongside the price of admissions. The college overall is a very close community, and friend bound. The housing around and on campus is all very nice, and the facilities such as the Olympic standard gym is genuinely amazing!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for University of Central Oklahoma is 75%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Get involved as much as you can in things that interest you so you can get to know people that you're going to school with!
The worst thing about the university that I attend is that it is a "commuter" college. Most of the students are people who already have families, or who do not wish to participate in college activities and live off campus. This makes the student activity number lower than it should be for how many students attend the University of Central Oklahoma.
The classmates at UCO are very helpful as well as willing to be involved in all campus aspects.
The size and beauty of the campus is amazing. The class sizes are small, which allow one on one learning, however there are still lots of people on campus. The campus itself is covered in trees, beautiful architecture, and wonderful landscaping.
My school is one filled with school spirt, that may not be welcoming at first, but filled with people that help others suceed not only in their education but also in their life.
Someone who doesn't like to be in a huge crowd all the time but still wants to be scoial
The only thing I wish I had known was how extensive and time consuming the enrollment process can be for an incoming freshman, so be patient because you will only see benefits after those first two weeks.
Compared to other schools, I believe my school is unique because of its size. Many believe you have to go to a major /big university to get the education you need to be successful however, thats not true. At the University of Central Oklahoma you get the same eduaction, just a cheaper cost. At bigger University your class size consist of 150 to 200 people and the professors do not get to know each student indiviually unless they go up to the m after class. Here the, class sizes are just right and the professor gets to know each student.
the people are amazing and its the right size for someone to go to college
Some one who wants a true academics school like Duke or Harvard. This is a good school and you will get a good job, but it isn't very scholarly.
My school is best known for it's education program. We supply many teachers. Also, we are known for our new music program. The program is good for many music carreers and is run by current band managers.
Trying to work and go to school full time is frustrating.
