I just transferred to UCO this month. I have not been very impressed with the administration, teaching, or campus facilities, but at the same time it is adequate. I have enjoyed that most of my classes are fairly small and so their is more time to interact with the professors.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The University of Central Oklahoma is a wonderful school that gets your feet wet and allows you experience what college is like but without overwhelming you right off the bat. Class sizes are relatively small and not very crowded but desk space is either minimal or fantastic depending on the class. The professors are overall very nice, always available to help, and generally flexible.

The University of Central Oklahoma is a wonderful school. I personally chose it because of the academics. Central is home to the finest business, art, and nursing degrees, but is known best for its Forensics Institute. The Institute was founded and is still being ran by Dr. Dwight Adams, former Head of the FBI Laboratory, and a collection of retired FBI agents and laboratory analysts that teach out of the books that they wrote. As the number one rated and most highly accredited Forensics Institute in the nation, any student who is interested in such a field could find no better place to go. Aside from academics, the Central campus is widely known for its immaculate campus. The biggest attraction is Broncho Lake: a giant koi lake in the middle of the campus square. Central offers nine different dining options on campus including Chick-Fil-A and a full made-to-order pasta bar. As a student, you never have to feel unsafe or insecure on campus. One of my favorite, lesser celebrated attractions on campus is the University of Central Oklahoma police department, which sits on the edge of campus and has twenty-two full time officers on staff. At any given time, the middle of the night included, at least three officers are driving and/or walking around campus. It’s nearly impossible to walk from one building to another without being greeted by a friendly Central officer. There is also a ginormous Student Activities organization; not a week goes by without at least a handful of activities to take part in. Between the fantastic staff and manicured campus, any student of Central would be proud to show off the University that they call home.

University of Central Oklahoma has always been my first choice. When I was younger it had been about the colors, and into high school I was already just set on it. I don't even remember where I had heard about the university from in elementary school. All around me growing up were mainly OSU and OU rivalries, and not much of UCO. My mother kept confusing UCO for OCU. In high school, finally able to walk around the place during a tour, I immediately loved the atmosphere. Everyone so far has been great to me and attending it currently, my only complaint is our state's weather and parking but those aren't the university's fault (although maybe the parking). Overall, I'm finding what I want to do here and I still think as I did in high school that UCO is pretty great.

I absolutely love and enjoy the University of Central Oklahoma. The University of Central Oklahoma has allowed me the opportunity to continue my career as a softball player while pursuing a degree in Speech Language Pathology. I believe I am earning a stellar education that will allow me to go far in life and follow my dreams go becoming a Speech Language Pathologist. I am very thankful for the opportunities and help I have received from the University of Central Oklahoma.

It is a very well ran college. Many of the professors, you can tell, care about the students and their success. There is always activities going on to get the students involved. The facilities have been updated to the modern day look. There is a variety of food choices as well. There is a mid first bank on campus which makes it easy to go to the bank between classes.

Overall it's a great school and I'm glad that I picked it. I'm a child development major- which is not a common one. All of the teachers here are wonderful and really want you to succeed, not just do well on a test. The classes tend to be small, so the teachers are able to work with you on an individual level. The food isn't the best, but there are several on- campus options and plenty of things within walking distance. It's a smaller school which means that there is always someone to around that you can eat lunch with.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

UCO is a laid back college where you can have a lot of fun and learn so much! Being on campus is extremely interactive and there is always something going on. Teachers are not afraid to engage with their students and are usually there for you when you need them.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing about UCO is that there is always construction. Get it together UCO (:

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love it! The community is great with a lot of loving people. Most of the teachers love to teacher and try to help their students with every question they have. Even if it doesn't involve their class. The students at the school also look out for each other and if someone has questions, a fellow student could always be there to help you.
