I'm really busy with full-time work, a full-time class workload, and a journalism internship so I don't get involved in many on-campus activities.
My favorite thing about UCD is the close location to Downtown Denver. Denver has a lot of local venues for music, clubs, restaurants, and shops within walking distance and I often find myself wandering the streets of Denver. There are no huge fraternities or sororities here, which in my personal view I like because I feel that the college experience is one closer to being a part of life after college instead of a continuation of high school. There are not a ton of school sponsored events, though President Obama came for a speech recently that was a huge event that all students and faculty were eligible for free tickets too.
I am the Chief Justice of Student Government, a member and workshop presenter/mentor for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund Chapter, a PAL (peer advocate leader) mentor to incoming freshman, a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, through the Office of Experiential Learning and the Colorado I Have A Dream Foundation I tutor 11th & 12th grade students on campus, and the past President (still active meber) of the Ethnoic Studies Student Organization. These are all awesome engagement experiences that allow me to interact with the student body and administration in many different capacities. UCD features tons of fun events for our student body from dances to concerts and shows as well as many diverse speaking events.
Sponsored Meaning Explained
EducationDynamics receives compensation for the featured schools on our websites (see “Sponsored Ad” or “Sponsored Listings” or “Sponsored Results”). So what does this mean for you? Compensation may impact where the Sponsored Schools appear on our websites, including whether they appear as a match through our education matching services tool, the order in which they appear in a listing, and/or their ranking. Our websites do not provide, nor are they intended to provide, a comprehensive list of all schools (a) in the United States (b) located in a specific geographic area or (c) that offer a particular program of study. By providing information or agreeing to be contacted by a Sponsored School, you are in no way obligated to apply to or enroll with the school. Your trust is our priority. We at EducationDynamics believe you should make decisions about your education with confidence. that’s why EducationDynamicsis also proud to offer free information on its websites, which has been used by millions of prospective students to explore their education goals and interests. close
