University of Delaware Top Questions

The best thing about my school is the faculty. They are all so well reknowed in their field and can explain the material so well that even the most difficult subject, like Organic Chemistry, can be made easy.

The University of Delaware is a large campus with vast oppurtunities to offer. It is not a necessity for students to come in with a decided major and the variety of majors offerred gives students many options to choose from and allows them to make a major switch rather easily. The chas ampus is also very aesthetically pleasing and allows students to be involved with all sorts of activities. Students find themselves to be rarely bored while on campus.

There are some really great things the University of Delaware has to offer. Firstly, the professors are wonderful, really accessible, and many are very renowned in their field. Second, the campus is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It offers a stunning green with georgian style architecture- a "true" college campus.I think it was be extremely hard to find some one that would disagree with this. The college is also surrounded by the town of Newark, which offers a great main street with tons of restaurants and shops. Lastly, there is plenty of school spirit to go around! Lets go Blue hens!

The best thing about this school is the accesibility of its teachers. Any problems a student may have can be easily resolved by contacting the teacher.

The University of Delaware is an excellent school for anyone with interest in the sciences, mathematics or engineering. The quality of the teaching in these departments is extremely good and research oppurtunities are available for virtually all students. The teachers, many of which are well-known in thier respective fields, are very friendly and willing to help students with anything. Although each student has an assigned advisor within thier department, I have never spoken with a teacher who wasn't willing to answer my questions. This is especially helpful due to the difficulty of some of the classes.

Definately is the school spirit. It brings us all together even if only in that one thing and makes us all feel like a solid unit/family.

I consider the access to resources is the best thing at my school. When i say resources i mean all the career fairs, career placement, networking oppourtunities, computing and media labs, professional talks. There are many ways to get jobs after graduation. The career services center is a great resource. They will help you with your resume, give lists of employers specific to your major, schedule interviews, and more.

The best thing about my school is the layout of the campus. It is beautiful and clean and there is always something going on here.

UD has a strong sense of community that goes far beyond typical cliques and greek life; while those things may factor in to the things you do it is really easy to build an identity that is separate from the activities you participate in and more focused on the kind of person you are. Despite the small town setting there is always something going on around campus... especially if you like to drink. Go Hens!

The people at the campus have made my experience the best it could be. I have made the best friends and teammates, I don't ever want to leave!

The best thing about the school for me are the academics. Nerdy I know, but I'm a civil engineering major and all of my classes are very interesting. The professors I've had are outstanding and really have an excellent knowledge of the material their teaching. Also, the professors in my major are all very friendly and more then willing to go the extra mile to help an individual.

The people in general. There are a lot of people that are very nice and willing to help out with anything. There are a lot of different majors at the school and a lot of different people that have showed me a lot of different point of views.
