University of Denver Top Questions

Why did you decide to go to this school?

Lindsey

I decided to go to DU, because it has one of the most beautiful campuses that I visited. I also really enjoyed how it is a smaller school. Coming from a small high school, it made it an easier transition moving to another smaller school. Last, I was really influenced by some of the theatre professors that made a big impression on me when I interviewed to attend the school.

I ultimately decided to attend DU because of its location and degree offerings . The school is conveniently located in a Denver suburb and is close to downtown and it has access to several modes of transportation. The business school is nationally ranked and is locally know is a great school.

When it came down to it, my top two choices for schools were American University in Washington, DC, and DU. I ended up choosing DU because of the location and the price tag. DU gave me SIGNIFICANT scholarships (making DU cheaper than CU, where I would get in-state tuition). DU also had programs that were very good for whatever I chose to do (I have considered International Studies, Business, Public Policy, Communications). I also love Colorado more than any other place.

When it came down to school choices, I was deciding between University of Denver and Wake Forest. In the end, I chose DU because they are pretty good about providing scholarships and the campus feels like an East Coast school but with a West Coast atmosphere and all the perks of Colorado. It was a no brainer for me because of the opportunities DU offers like study abroad, alpine club and the amazing business school (ranked 15th in the world).
