What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

That I was going to be an Education major.

I wish I had known before I came to the University of Detroit Mercy is to have developed better study habits. I am a Nursing major and it is very competative in this field, and I must retain a great amount of information in short periods of time. I also wish I had known they do not offer Spanish as a minor but only as a certificate.

I wish I had known that the campus life was limited. You have to find things to do off campus to be entertained most of the time.

I wish I had known how studying is key the higher you matriculate through college. I didn't study as much in high school but got good grades, but college is way different! Studying for at least an hour for each class is key to being able to keep up in class. Also I wish I would have known how to budget my time better. During my tenure at UDM, I've gotten better at it.
