The University of Dubuque is a wonderful campus to be involved with. There are a ton of beautiful facilities including the Heritage Center, Stoltz Gym, and the Chalapty Football Field. The experience is relatively good, but that depends on the people you choose to surround your self with. I am part of the Spartan Basketball team, and it has taught me so much with in one year. I am grateful and blessed to be a Spartan!
The staff genuinely cares about you. It makes you feel like its home. There are some tough classes but it pushes you to be your best. They try and put on programs that many people like. They try and help those who need it where that is financially, with food or classes. They have your best interest in mind.
The University of Dubuque is generally a good campus. There are a lot of people who are there for you and make you feel welcome. The campus is gorgeous, and there are plenty of things to do all the time. Some of the down sides are that the shops around it aren't great. Also, this could be a good thing for some people, but I find it a little to religiously oriented; for example, they have a religious requirement to graduate. All it is. is taking a class or two that discuss religions around the worl or how they apply to sports.
It is a great place to be and academics here are very strong! The professors are all wonderful and want the best for every individual! They are very flexible as well. Class sizes are perfect to get the help and attention you may need. Overall it is a great campus!

To find the right college you need to go onto the campus and sit in on your major classes. At the end of the day, I truly feel you get a sense of home when your at the right campus. Another thing to do is talk to the students that currently attend the campus and see how they feel about the college (this will give you the insiders look not the written up speech you're suppose to get). Any school can be a party school but not every school feels like home. So make your decision wisely. In addition, to make the most out of your college experience you need to engage yourself into activities. Not only will it give you something to do but you will meet people that have the same interest as yourself. But the most important thing is be yourself. You'll be much happier in the end.
A friendly and diverse community focussed on the discovery of vocation and service.
I think the best thing about UD is the fact that there are very small class sizes which allow for more one on one time with the teacher. If I am having trouble understanding a concept or something that is being taught, I can ask the teacher right away and I will get a direct answer right away. Another reason is that my teachers know me by my name and I know them by their name. It makes school much more personal.
The worst thing about my school is the football players. They come here from a long ways and never go to class. They dont care about their education they just are here to play football.
I wish in highschool i would have had better study habits.
Our school is best known for their aviation major. It is foremost an aviation school, and then enrollment for Nursing and Business majors are a close second and third. We are also known for how much the alumni give back to the University to help future students.
It is a very diverse liberal arts university that gives its students the opportunity to learn what vocation truly is and discover their own vocation.
Any type of person can attend this school. There is alot of ethnic diversity, clubs/groups, and extra ciricular activities to be envolved in. If your dedicated to your major and are goal driven in the area you've picked to pursue then the professors will do everything in their power to help you succeed and achieve your goals.
The school board is to traditional.
They were very determined individuals who cared about being in class every day and doing the work that was expected of them.
The University of Dubuque offers small class sizes that allows for personal attention. The University is a private school that helps you in your spiritual journey. The campus in located in a 5 block radius. Also, the school in located in a city that has a home town feeling.
The teachers want me to succeed. They are willing to meet with you outside of office hours, and will direct you to the learning center. The individual attention I enjoy. In addition, the small class sizes makes it easier to meet new friends to create small study groups.
The University of Dubuque contributes to making you a good student by tracking attendance. Doing this makes it more of a priority for students to go to class when they struggle to find other reasons to go. Professors are very involved with your individual success by communicating one on one with you. Class schedules are made just right in my opinion, you are given plenty of time to get your work done, but are also given enough downtime to relax when it's needed. I believe they have us set up for future success.
Most students that attend UD are here also because of their involvement in an activity such as a sport, theater, or music. The most popular group is sports, specifically football. Many students take pride in being a member of the Spartans football team, and many enjoy watching them.
Even though I've only been here one semester, UD is home to me now. The people here are some of the best people I've ever met. The professors take time to get to know you individual and care for how you do in your classes. The students are friendly and are always willing to help you with an issues you are having. I would recommend this school to anyone!
I have not heard of any stereotypes about students here, I think every college has them though.
