The University of Florida is located in Gainesville, FL. My first impression was "Wow, this place is huge!" As I toured areas off campus, I thought "Ok, there's not much to do off campus that's relatively close." I've attended this school since July 2018, and my impressions still stand. It's relatively easy to get involved, as there's a desk one can go to if they need assistance in finding information about clubs or teams. The teachers are like teachers at any other university, some much better than others. As for class size, although some classes are large (100+ students), all the professors all hold office hours, and I often find the T.A.s more helpful than the professors themselves. There are research opportunities, most of them go to upperclassmen; however, I do know a few freshmen involved in research...with that said, anyone can get involved in research if they just keep searching. Gainesville is a scooter town. Most kids who have cars rarely use them, simply because the buses are so efficient during the weekdays. If I had to choose, scooters are the better option, and not just because they're gas efficient. Parking for them is annoying though, due to the hundreds of scooters located on campus. The dorms are overpriced in my opinion, but they are also cheaper than living off campus, so I'll take what I can get. All dorms have bus stops right outside, so you never have an excuse as for why you were late for class, unless you just missed the bus due to oversleeping. Outside of UF is the reason why I rate my school four out of five stars. There's not much for a person without a car to do off campus on the weekends besides go to clubs, parties, or the mall. There is a movie theater and a few restaurants which isn't too far by bus, you just have to remember that buses stop running at a certain time, so you can't let your movie run too long! I'm sure during the weekday, some may find more off-campus activities available, as the bus availability is more. Overall, if you want to study at a place that's high in nightlife, but also strong in academics and extracurricular involvement, then UF is the school for you! Go Gators!

I used to believe that there was no such thing as the perfect college; but this was before I attended the University of Florida. There is nothing like going to a nationally ranked school in both football and academics. Imagine tailgating on a Saturday in fall and spending Sunday at the Marston library cramming for an Organic Chemistry exam. It is difficult, but so worth it. When you walk across that stage after the four years is up, the only thing you'll be thinking is "How did it end so soon?" I am so proud to call myself a Florida Gator, as is everyone else that attends this magnificent school!

UF is a great school, I was astounded when I first got to campus and fell in love as I was sure I was going to dread it because it wasn't my number 1 choice. People on campus are generally nice and there's always something going on to get involved in. As with any college experience, that is what's vital: getting involved. I would recommend the University of Florida to all who can attend.

It is a fun school with really great academic - it is the best of both worlds! Game day are super fun especially when the Gators win, but tailgates never disappoint. The University of Florida is honestly a great school. You get a wonderful education while living such an intense school pride. Everyone walks around enjoying their day and striking up a conversation with a complete stranger over some trivial thing is a lot of fun. We just reached the 8th spot of best public schools of the nation, so receiving a top notch education would be a definite if you go here. After all, it's great to be a Florida Gator!

It is a large campus; however, it is well organized for maximum convenience. I miss having smaller class sizes. The course curriculum is challenging, but fortunately, the Professors and TAs are readily available to meet with students to receive additional help if needed.

I honestly love the University of Florida. This has been my dream school since I was little. I love how nice and open the people are there. I am a freshman and the advisors and upperclassmen have always been willing to help me. The teachers are willing to make extra office hours if you're unable to make the usual ones. There are plenty of places to eat and shop near campus you do not need a car to get around. I love how close we are to everything.

University of Florida has an amazing atomosphere for the students and makes me feel at home. It provides us with great academic and extracurricular opportunities. We complete projects for the world around us and come together to fight for what we believe in. I would not have chosen a better school to have attended.

It is a great school full of opportunities! There are many different activities that students of all ages and all backgrounds can be apart of. The professors are very understanding of student athletes and are able to accommodate to their schedules. They are very understanding of their busy schedules and want to help them succeed.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The University of Florida is amazing. It does not only facilitate an excellent learning environment, it also offers countless opportunities. There are always events going on, students are always very involved and driven, and teachers and faculty genuinely want to help you. I have never felt like a burden on anyone, in fact they not only welcome you but motivate you which is refreshing in such a competitive world. This school is amazing for so many reasons however what fascinates me is how this school made its' own world in a rural city. The University of Florida is Gainesville, its not how you would expect Gainesville contains the University of Florida. Also, the environment even outside of school is so nice and refreshing, even getting groceries you are asked about your day and if you need help. Back where I am from, Miami, that would never in a million years happen. I genuinely love it here and I am such a strong advocate for this amazing school and all the incredible opportunities it provides.
