Although classes can be difficult, I love the way the professors teach the material in an engaging way. Between all the studying, there are so many opportunities to meet new people and make new memories. You'll never get bored because the events and activities are endless!
The University of Georgia is not only prestigious-- and becoming more so each day-- and has a beautiful campus, but is full of history, tradition, and spirit. These things bring a campus of 35,000 students together to a family. I've visited many universities, but none could compare to the Bulldawg Nation. Game day excitement starts the semester before and game day cheers are sung throughout the streets daily. History is written on plaques around campus and there is a traditions book kept to ensure the history is learned and cherished. UGA is full of pride and hard work.
The professors are very knowlegeable in their subject areas.
When I tell my friends about the school, the most thing that I bragged about is how its one of the top public schools in the U.S.
The food is TO DIE FOR. Bolton is one of a kind, but the other three are top-notch too. I never get bored. I'm genuinely going to miss being on meal-plan and when I get in an apartment of my own, I might go back on meal-plan and save myself the trouble of shopping and cooking for myself. It's too good not to pass up! Also, everyone is so in love with the University of Georgia. "There is no tradition more worthy of envy. No institution worthy of such loyalty as the University of Georgia."
To say I love being a student at the University of Georgia would be an understatement. When I'm talking to my friends about it, I cover a wide range of things that go down on campus. Everything from Saturday football games to Greek life to housing to meal plan to classes gets talked about, and all in a positive way too. the main thing I tell them is that it doesn't matter if you're greek or not, everyone talks to everyone. The sense of community at UGA rivals no other. It's perfect.
I tell my friends that UGA is such a friendly place, full of lively and attractive people.
How great the football yeam is and how nice everyone is.
The University of Georgia has a comfortable learning atmosphere. You are surrounded by young students who are passionate about learning and making a difference in life. With all the extra-curricular activites on campus, any student of all race, ethnicity, gender, and religionis easily able to fit in on campus. This university is definitely a place to pursue a proper education.
football
I like to brag about the people and the location of the school. The weather is wonderful with all the seasons and a wonderful set up. I brag about the atheletics progam and reputatuion the school carries. I like to talk about the education my professors provide and the real world examples they provide my classes with. The last thing and most important thing is the opportunities the school provides for career placement upon graduation. So much to brag about at The University of Georgia but these are my top choices.
The first things that comes to mind when I consider bragging about the University of Georgia is unity. There is an enormous amount of diversity at this school, but desite each individual's racial, political, or religious background, we are all united on the fact that we are Georgia Bulldogs. Football game days are the best display of this because strangers start high-fiving and hugging each other when our team is doing well. Students and alumni alike are forever part of this very large family.
The University of Georgia offers an incredible amount of social aspects that make the challenging academics worthwhile. For me, I can be a little biased. Being a cheerleader here, I have the opportunity to experience an incredible amount of athletic events and various events within the community. My personal favorite is Saturdays in Athens during football season, which gives an overwhelming sense of unity that I haven't encountered elsewhere. But this radiates far beyond the stadium, the campus offers so much for each and everyone that makes me feel included no matter where I go on campus.
I mainly brag about the ministries that I am involved in. I am a small group leader for the UGA Wesley Foundation, and it has played a major role in strengthening my relationship with the Lord. I absolutely love the freshmen girls that I lead each week and the worship and sermons that I hear Wednesday and Monday nights. I also brag about the friends I have made because I attend UGA. The apartments around UGA are very affordable, and the facillities that it offers for students is great.
We have a pretty campus.
The campus, hands down, convinced me that UGA was the school for me. Since I was in fourth grade UGA had been my dream school, but I was never more sure until I visited the campus for the very first time. The water fountain, the spacious green lawns, the arch, all put together to make the most beautiful campus I had yet seen. It was enough to drag me from Johns Creek all the way to Athens in a heart beat. I could not wait to start college and live the dream of any soon-to-be college student.
I brag most about the fact that the psychology department at my school is top-notch.
My school has a warm, welcoming environment. It is relatively easy to find help here when you need it.
UGA is so fun and there is always something going on. Classes are so interesting and really make you want to learn outside of the classroom. The friendships I've made here have been the best and strongest in my life. I feel very prepared to be out in the real world and think I will land a great job with my education.
I brag about the location and the football team. I love Georgia and the southern hospitality in the south. I lived in Georgia before and I miss Georgia. The school has a lot of school spirit with a good football team. Not only is the location and the athletics good, but the Biology Department and sciences are too.
My friends.
I tell my friends about the great number of classes that are offered at my school. You can do just about anything you want to do there from ballroom dancing to independent study. The oppurtunities are endless. You can get credit for just about anything you love to do and it doesn't feel like work at all sometimes.
I brag about our recreational center and our dining facilities to my friend. Our recreational center has two olympic sized swimming pools and two well sized weight rooms with more equipment than I have ever seen in one gym. There is an inside track, racquetball courts, several basketball courts, boxing facility, climbing wall and so much more. Also, we have four dining facilities. If you are on the meal plan, you can eat as much as you want and how often as you want. The food is great. One of the dining facilities is open 24/7 during the week.
I love UGA! The school spirit and environment are second to none. Athens is the perfect college town. The student body is very supportive of all the athletic programs. There is an eclictic collection of students who are combined by a drive to succeed at a top university. There are many resources to succeed. The campus is beautiful and well taken care of by the students that attend. I may not have known it two years ago, but I am and forever will be a Georgia bulldog!
When one lives in the Deep South and heart of the Southeastern Confrence, the phrase "something to brag about" should automatically trigger one thought and one thought only: football. In all seriousness, stepping into Sanford stadium for the first time showed me what it meant to be a Georgia Bulldog. Of all the traditions and newfound customs, none carry more weight than the responsibility to show up early, be loud, and wear red. Go Dawgs!
I brag about the location of my dorm. It's near all my classes and really close to the downtown area where we can eat and shop!
I love to tell my friends that we have a black homecoming queen and king this year. And this is very exciting because its never happened before.
I tell them about the great atmosphere that UGA brings about. I love the people here and the friends I have made. Also, I have meshed with the learning atmosphere. At first, I struggled to get a grasp on the college life. However, I have gotten my feet under me and have been able to get prepared for my graduate school ventures in the next few years. Overall, I have enjoyed my experience and believe it has matured and prepared me well for the road ahead.
Living in Athens, the typical college town. Football at UGA, the social life, the beautiful campus.
There are so many ways to be involved at UGA. Campus life is exciting and rewarding. You can find so much to do with your free time.
It's got a beautiful campus, challenging classes, tons of resources, and a great social scene. Students here are universally intelligent and focused; you must work hard for your grades here.
Our football team is the greatest (on the field only, but still...), even when we lose.
The campus is large and there are lots of activities to do. It is easy to find a job around here and the near campus apartments are respectable in both quality and price. The classes may be hard but that's because UGA is a college that actually teaches you what you will need to know in the future and employers will know we got a good education.
Our football team, our beautiful campus, our awesome downtown area.
The University of Georgia is highly ranked public university. The school offers great dining facilities. Football season is so much fun. Downtown Athens has great shopping, dining, and night life.
school spirit/ great campus
Football, Greek Life
I like to tell people about the many opportunities UGA has to offer. The city of Athens is amazing in itself. There is an incredible music scene and a deep history. Downtown is filled with music venues, coffee shops, restaurants, and vintage clothing stores. The University offers hundreds of resources: from enriching study-abroad programs to guest speakers to literally hundreds of student organizations. The faculty is not only here to teach, but to learn with students through new research projects. The campus is amazing providing students with beautiful places to study and relax, eat and live. Simply the best.
The people here are so friendly! I love meeting new people, and at a school as large as UGA, I can meet new people every day. The campus is beautiful, and reminds me a lot of home. Coming from out of state was hard at first, but being in an environment like UGA made the transition from Texas to Georgia a lot easier. There are always things to do, too. All sorts of organizations host events every day so students here are never bored. I've had so much fun at UGA.
The awesome research I'm able to do through the CURO program. Also our awesome football team.
My school has strong school spirit because of the awesome football team.
We have the best liberal arts programs and our athletics are the best in the country.
I brag about how diverse and outgoing my school is. Everybody is so friendly and accepting toward one another. It's so easy to make friends and meet new people, and you know these people will grow to be your life long friends. Also, everybody has their goals in front of them, and they know what they want out of live. It's motivation for me and it just makes me happy to see the people around me want something out of life like I do.
The University of Georgia is known very well for its football team, so I usually end up telling my friends about going to the football games, tailgating, and what it's like to be a Bulldog. I also talk a lot about how beautiful the campus is and how friendly the people are, as well as my friends, campus organizations, and my sorority.
The University of Georgia is a great school in my opinion. I have enjoyed all my experiences here. I have only been here for 2 out of my 4 years of college. I do think I will be ready to go back to my home town once I am done with my bachelors degree. I do not feel as comfortable here sometimes because I don't get into the party scene as much as others do. I am ready to grow up and be an adult and think that UGA might not be the place for that.
