I decided to go to this school because my parents wanted me to live somewhere close to them and the University of Houston was a school that I liked, that I could afford and that offered a good business school.
Besides the common reasons of education, school pride, etc. I liked the location not to far from my hometown but far enough where I can feel independent.
I decided to go to this school because my high school offered a University of Houston/Baylor College of Medicine Program to ten seniors that attended my high school. Thankfully, I was accepted, and I believed that this path would bring me the most success on my journey to becoming a neonatologist.
Because at first I was undecided and UH had a pretty good ranking in ALL their majors and I knew if I went into any field at UH I would be perfectly fine.
I decided to attend University of Houston, because I knew I wanted a university located in a major city, but since I'm originally from the Dallas area, I wanted it to be away from home. So I decided "Why not Houston!?" Then I went online and researched it a bit, and saw that they would accept all my AP credits, and had a lot of nice scholarships. So I applied, and BAM!, here I am.
UH is very generous when it comes to the financial aid they offer! And I am not just talking loans! They offer a lot of scholarships and grants! I was very fortunate to receive a very good scholarship!
