A day on campus that I'll never forget was during second semester of my freshman year. I was walking from class and taking one of the shortcuts through campus. There are always tons of people on the sidewalk and it gets a little crowded. I was walking with one of my roommates and a biker came out of nowhere. There was no where to go so I awkwardly stood there and unfortunately got hit by the bike. The biker felt so bad he bought me coffee and my day was made.
The UK's football team was playing #10 South Carolina, and the game was intense as we upset the Gamecocks. So we rushed the field and the atmosphere was unforgettable. UK's football team is average at the best, so for us to beat a top ten ranked opponent, it was well worth the 5 dollar ticket.
I was walking to class. Right outside of my building there were students protesting abortion. They had a set up of poster images and statistics, caution tape all around the display. The students were interacting with other students, discussing their opinions and handing out information packets. It was nice to see respectful and informative students interacting with people that agreed and disagreed with the purpose.
