The local community really makes UL Lafayette a great university. There's a ton of culture in Lafayette. The professors I've had have been great and have made classes interesting and are usually willing to help students in any way they can. There are several opportunities to get involved in the community and make connections with other students through various aspects of campus life. All the dorms are less than 3 years old--so they're very nice!
Once you put forth the effort and make yourself known to your professors, they are willing to help you out in whatever way possible to make sure that you succeed in your acedemic endeavors.
The academic programs and value are sufficient for the affordable price. It is close to home and easy to navigate. Mostly, it is convenient.
The best thing about this unversity is that it offers alot of opportunities in undergraduate research. As a biology major, my plan is to attend medical school after I graduate; I feel that this instituition is well preparing me for what I'm to expect in medical school. Not only am I gaining an education in the biological sciences but I'm also gaining experience working in a lab and discovering something new.
The best thing about my school was the supportive people in student services.
The school spirit and involvement is awesome. everyone is so nice and always helpful.
The best thing about the University of Louisiana at Lafayette are the programs that are easily accessible to your degree. The professors are always willing to help and offer great advice and learning experiences for you. I also enjoy the campus itself. It is clean and made beautiful with trees cascading over every sidewalk and a local bayou in the middle of campus which offers a great southern flavor to the already beautiful scenery.
THE PEOPLE
THE BEST THING ABOUT MY SCHOOL IS THE SCHOOL SPIRIT. THE UNIVERSITY'S STUDENTS DO THEIR BEST TO REPRESENT THEIR SCHOOL IN ANY AND EVERY WAY THAT THEY CAN.
I love the campus and the Marching Band! The campus isn't huge so you can walk to anyplace on campus and the Marching Band is serious about what we do and we're good at it!
The school spirit and that our teachers have actually worked in their fields and are now teaching us from actual experience.
The atmosphere is definitely the best part. I love the community because it's not a huge city and you can get to know people. It's also a very friendly and inviting place.
I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere of our campus, the teachers and staff are very friendly and helpful, along with the students that attend this school, when walking to class, most people will smile, or say hi, even if you don't know them.
Our size and location is great. We are located at the heart of culture so we get all the cool festivals as well as a tame mardi gra. Everyone from the surrounding schools comes to party here becuase we got the food and the right amount of people to have a good time.
School Spirit and how friendly everyone is.
The best thing about my school is the library. We have a lot of books, journals, etc., so it is easy to do research for essays.
The atmosphere here. Everyone is friendly, eager to help, and a lot of fun!
The spirit people have and the availablity of resources
.
I think that the best thing about my school is that there are so many different courses you can take to decide what you wanna do when you graduate. They offer a variety of courses to take especially if you don't know what you want to do yet. And if you do know, then they still offer a big variety, that way you can learn a lot of different things and have fun while doing it. For example, I like psychology, but I am majoring in Nursing and they still allow me to take some extra psycholgy courses.
I like the on-campus ministry. I like being able to go there if I need someone to talk to, whether about grades, or trouble with my faith.
The atmosphere is beautiful! It has a lot of culture and it is really calming.
The best thing about ULL is the acceptance of the younger groups of people towards those who are older and have decide to attend college. There is a large amount of older people attending this college and it has not made a difference to the fresh high school graduates. I have made more friends and aquaintances of these younger groups than the older people that are closer to my age.
