Describe the dorms.

Abigail

It depends of where you live. There are cheaper dorms, which are your ordinary college dorms. There are also halls like Bettie Johnson, where I live, which is more of an apartment style. Its two separated rooms connected by a living room and kitchen. Each room also has its own bathroom. Its awesome!

I personally chose to live off campus as an incoming Freshman. The apartments I chose are still considered student housing, so I met tons of other UofL students. My apartment is four bedroom, four bathroom, so privacy or space is not an issue. As far as on campus housing, I have heard from many people that they had great experiences living on campus and that it allowed them to meet tons of other people! There different types of dorms, from traditional to suites! It is easy to choose something that suits your personal needs.

I can honestly say I have never stepped foot inside of a traditional dormitory here. I am very fortunate in that I live in Bettie Johnson Hall. An apartment/suite style of living. My roommate and I have a two bedroom, two bathroom place. The common area between our rooms came furnished with a couch, table, and full kitchen. I pretty much never have to leave (unless of course I have class). But it is nice to be able to stay in my own room to shower instead of risking the walk down the hall in a towel.
