The only misconception I have regularly come across is that Mary Washington is an all-girls school. I don't really think Mary Washington is familiar enough to people to actually have any stereotypes.
That this school is not diverse or that there is nothing to do here.
The main stereotype is that most of the students that attend Mary Washington are white and rich. Another stereotype is that the student population is lacking in diversity in gender and race.
That there's no diversity, that the campus is fairly cliquey
All white, all females.
All white, all women. The social scene isnt the same as a big school or one with greek life, so people think its dull. Everyone goes home on weekends.
that we don't have fun and all we do is study, we all leave on the weekends and no one sticks around to hang out
There have been rumors that UMW has the most depressed students?
All rich, upper class, white girls who are nerds
White, upper-middle class, Republican, female, preppy, stuck-up, clique-ish
The majority of students are white females.
That UMW is mostly white and pretty much all girls. If you are a girl it is extremly hard to get in...not so much for guys.
lack of diversity
That the student body is mostly preppy and white
Rich, Preppy, White
We are all liberal arts majors. We are not diverse.
we are all white, we dont party
