Mass is celebrated every day and we have the opportunity to study in Rome, Italy for a semester! We have many opportunities for the sacraments. There is a Catholic Studies Program, and a course in bioethics.
This school doesn't have a very large student body. If you live on campus or even just take classes here it's pretty easy to get to know a lot of people because you see the same people all the time. It's a very good community and it's small enough to as where a lot of people know each other and are fairly friendly.
It's very small and isolated.
The University of Mary is a very well-respected university here in the state of North Dakota. Graduates are considered to be well-educated and very employable once they have received a degree from the University of Mary. I am so fortunate that they offer the Accelerated Bachelor Degree programs because I am a non-traditional student with a family to take care of. I also like that the University of Mary has a very professional CADE staff who are extra-attentive and continuously provide us with complete information on everything from class schedules to financial aid!
At the University of Mary people look out for each other and the location of the school on top of a hill is beutiful and the students love it. Also at the school almost 75% of the student body show up to support the teams on their sports and it really helps them with victory.
I like that the University is not right in town with all the hussle of the big city. Most of the buildings here at the University are connected so there is less walking outside in the cold, long winter.
There is no judgement when it comes to what you have faith in.
It is a smaller community but not too small, and is very accomodating to athletes and allows to do well in both academics andour chosen sport. It has a very enjoyable astmosphere and the people that atten U Mary are fun to be around and are over all really good people.
I have returned to school and am in my 40s. I have a wife and three children. I am the director of a Christian drug and alcohol recovery center. I needed to get my degree here, at home. I started searching on line schools and stumbled onto this program. I only have to go to school one night per week, they accepted all of my transferable credits, I can challenge the four courses that the curriculum doesn't cover, the price is cheaper than the other online schools (except WGU), and it is an accelerated program. Whats not to like?
It has a beautiful view from on top of a hill. The classes are small, which makes the student teacher interaction much morepersonal.
