How much it would really cost
I wish I had known more about the different groups and different ways to interact with people. I did come to Mary in the middle of the semester and that is a reason I did not know much about certain groups. I compete in track and that is a way I have met a lot of people here. I know if I could have been in another group, I would have been able to know a lot more people.
Before I came to college at the University of Mary I wish I would have had a better understanding about how much money I have into my education. I am blessed and my education is very valuable to me.
I wish I would have known more specifics about my major. I didn't realize that there are so many aspects in just one field, such as health care. If I would have known that there were so many different fields, I might have started out with a different major.
I would have liked to have been told that the on the weekends, campus is a little empty. I think that campus is rather dead and a majority of students travel home over the weekends. There are some activities on the weekends, but I was still a little shocked at the beginning of the year.
As a current student I wish i would have known more about the classes and teachers. It would have been nice to meet with my advisor before moving out here for the first time. The only other improvement I could offer would be a better website, it was really frustrating trying to pack and buy things when I live so far away and couldn't remember what the rooms look like, so more pictures on the website.
I wish I would have known about how tuff it would be. Sure people tell you it is going to be hard but you do not really know about it till your in the middle of it. I also never understood the value of money until I got in to college and how it can sweep all your money away in a blink of an eye. Thats why I would greatly appriciate this 5,000 dollars to pay off some of the loans for my college.
I was well researched on the school before I came here. I also had visited the school a few times before starting classes. There's nothing really that surprised me too much. At least not in a negative way.
I wish I would have known all the activitites it has to offer, there are so many of them. I also wish I would have known more about the school itself. It would have been very helpful to have taken a tour of the school before classes started.
I wish I would have known that the IT department doesn't take the responsibility of fixing computers, the student has to do so his/her self by taking the computer somewhere else. I wish I would have known that all students pay an activities fee in order to attent the different sporting events for free.
I wish that i would have known how challenging it was going to be to return to college but the University of Mary as made it a bvery pleasant experience.
I wish that I had known the different major options that I had leading up to physical therapy. I came here to become a physical therapist, and I did not know that it is beneficial to major in exercise science or athletic training beforehand. I also wish that I knew how things operate before I came here. Of course as an incoming freshman I did not know exactly what to expect from the school. These things would have been nice to know beforehand, but I understand them now.
I wish I would have known more about how to transfer into the college life of managing time, money, and fun.
I wish I would have know all about the general classes that I had to take. Also about all the different groups that are on campus.
I wish I had known that my financial aide package would be changed and that I would not be given enough work study hours included in the package. I also feel the small size of the school has advantages and disadvantages as I did not realize there would not be a lot to do on the weekends.
