The students are positive, diverse, passionate, respectable, diligent, and intelligent.

My classmates come from a very diverse ethnic, educational, religlious, and professional background; yet, we have managed to find a way to work togehter to achieve our goals.

The students I had the pleasure of working with were (and are) extraordinarily hard working, thought-provoking, considerate, and dedicated individuals, many becoming my life-long friends. In addition, within the discussion boards and group projects, the relationships became symbiotic, as we all complimented each other, and valued every component and element that was brought to the table. In fact, the nature of our connections, allowed all of us to navigate the complex tasks and daily academic activities in a more positive, proficient, and productive manner.

As an online student, many of my classmates are active or prior military members.

I am taking on-line classes.

They are academically stressed.

I don't have a lot to do with other classmates, due to everything being online, but the teachers are really helpful and most of them make sure the students understand everything.

They are made up of 1's and 0's, those who get it and those who don't.

Most of my classmates are extremely nice and always willing to help out.

The majority of my classmates at UMUC are a disciplined group of young and/or seasoned professionals who all seem to share the same goals and level of ambition.

Luckily with this school, the online environment actually has students who participate as much as I do. Another school I tried who had students do nothing or the bare minimum. Classmates here are a lot better and more social and friendly. They actually take an interest in who you are and the story that you bring into the class.

My classmates are open-minded and very social.

My classmates are international.

I have never met any of my classmates in person as all of my courses were online. In all of my classes however I have interacted with many different people of all educational levels, ages and nationalities.

I have no idea, never met any.

A lot of my classmates are older than me (I'm 21), and most of them have families to take care of and I don't.

I can't say that I've had any bad experiences with classmates. There've been a few that will challenge you in discussions or don't work at the same pace you might, but that's to be expected with any school setting.

I don't know much about my classmates due to the fact that i've only taken 3 classes thus far (because that's all financial aid would a lot me), and because all of my classes are online since I live in Arizona and the school is based out of Maryland. But from what I've seen online, my classmates seem to be very willing to help each other out. We've debated some in my ethics class, but not to the point of fighting. Everyone's very respectful of one another!

Very diverse culturally, economically, and socially.

I am currently enrolled in online classes at UMUC and the atmosphere is very friendly, helpful, and encouraging. My classmates are diverse and I enjoy interacting with different cultures, and persons of a wide range of professions.

The classmates that attend this school are mostly people who did not go to college straight out of high school and are coming back for their degrees. Also, this school is dedicated to helping the United States military personnel in getting their degrees by providing them with easy access to their classes and great flexibility. The classmates are well behaved and more mature because of it. This is not a school where people go to party and live the "college life" you see in movies so it does not have those type of people attending.

Its been a long time since I actually attended a class with other classmates. Over the past 10 years the classes I've taken have been online so its really difficult to get a sense of what my classmates were like.

I take my classes on-line, but when we as students have our discussion question on-line, they are very informative and helpful. If there is something that I don't understand, I ask my classmates and they are always willing to help me out with any questions I have.

My classmates come from a multitude of backgrounds and locations, as all of us are attending classes online.

I am finishing my classes on-line, therrefore; I don't get to meet my classmates, but when I was living on campus, my classmates where dedicated students with a determined, motivated force behind their studies; In social settings, they were as classy and friendly as could be.; at sporting events, they were among the most spirited and supportive of the traditions associated with the school.

I'm taking my courses "at a distance" so I don't have any perspective on the rest of my classmates.

Most of my classmates are working adults. They fit in having a family, work and school into their lives. I give them a lot of credit because they can balance all of these things. They want to make a better living for themselves and their families. I love how I get to learn with such a diverse group of people from all ages and cultural backgrounds.

UMUC is an excellent school. As with any distance learning school, it takes self-discipline to complete coursework.

My classmates may range in age and background and while none of us have or will ever meet; we grow close at times because of our desire to learn from one another. Our often varying opinions provide interesting conversation and make debates lively and engaging.

My classmates are mostly military or military spouses looking to gain more understanding of the Japanese culture while stationed in Japan while earning college credit toward their degree of choice.

CSUMB students are very different comparing to those who've id been around in high school. They are very dedicated and educated students. even tho there is times were we have our fun. we also learn that our studies always come first. its a good crowd to be around with because i know they have the same aspirations and goals as i do.

my class was very challenging. A lot of my classmate were very good academically good. Ihad to stay ontop of every program to be able to excel in my class

My classmates are self motivated, driven, responsible, older folks returning to college to complete their degrees. Many have families and do not participate in partying, binge drinking, or drugs.
