What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The most frustrating things about the University of Massachusetts Lowell is the transportation system. Being in a crowded, urban atmosphere, often the buses or shuttles have to detour in order to safely transport students from one location to another. There are many unstable bridges in the city of Lowell that the weight of the buses can not support, so in result, by "back trailing" often students find themselves late to class. Aside from this frustration, UMass Lowell is a great school.

I am in the nursing program; so the most frustragting thing about my school for me is the competition. If I don't maintain a certain GPA I could get kicked out of the nursing program and lose my spot to someone whose GPA is better. Also if I can't afford to pay each semester in order to sign up for classes and attend this school I could also lose my spot in the nursing program to someone who can afford it, even if they don't want to be in the program as bad as I do.

The most frustrating thing about umass Lowell was the bicampus travel. I had many classes on South campus shortly after a class on North campus. The commute was tough due to traffic and I was often late to my second class because parking was also tough to find. There was a shuttle bus connecting the 2 areas but the timing of the runs was less than optimal and the distance between the 2 made walking unrealistic.

The most frustrating thing about my school is that I am not receiving enough financial aid. In my freshman year, I was given a good amount of financial aid, but iin my sophomore year I am not being given enough money for my education. I am also frustrated by the lack of housing at UMass Lowell. I have gotten housing, but a lot of my friends are on the waiting list.

The most frustrating thing about U Lowell is how far away the campuses are from each other. You have to take the shuttle for certain classes on different campuses and they sometimes take forever to come. You really have to plan your schedule promptly and accordingly to not be late for class, which adds a whole new stress load to one's plate on a daily basis.

The most frustrating thing about my school would have to be parking. The campus have a lot of students that are commuters so the parking lot gets packed quick. Not only that, they now expect the students to pay for parking every year. It is really expensive to pay just to park your car for 2 semesters a year.

The cost of housing and limits to on-campus housing. I am a commuter that would've liked to live on campus, but I was turned down. It would be much easier to live right on campus, but I guess I save money living at home. Sadly, I'm not very involved at school (friends, clubs) because I commute.

I would say that the most frustrating thing about my school would be when the buses do not arrive on time. For instance, one time I waited for the bus to south campus and it didn't come for 45 minutes, (I don't know why), and I missed my first anatomy & physiology test.

The most frustrating thing at my school was the lack of advising. I switched majors and was wrongly advised that certain classes would count towards my new major. This mistake caused me to graduate a year and half late and spend thousands of dollars in loans.

Making my schedule. It was difficult sometimes to pick the classes I wanted at good times with proffesors I liked.
