University of Memphis Top Questions

I don't attend University of Memphis, my school choice was University of Phoenix-Memphis Campus. My school is unique because all classes are team based and it has helped me out of my shell.

The campus itself is whats uniqiue. I like the scenery and the people who attend the school.

Its a lot diverse! In college, my first goal is that I have learned not to fail any courses. Failing just one course during my first year can ruin my GPA. It’s also hard to bring the GPA score back up, once I've failed a course. That's why my first goal as a college freshman is to pass all of my courses. Preferably I want to get at least a "C" in each course or the class may not count towards my degree. Crime is permitted most of the time, but soon it will stop soon enough.

THE SCHOOL IS VERY DIVESRE, THEY ARE MANY EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES GOING ON EACH DAY. THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU COULD POSSIBLY NOT MEET ANY NEW PEOPLE

Going here is a waste of time- completely unorganized. Dean Richard Ranta, Moira Logan, Vice Provost = no help and rude to students. Rhetoric and Communication Department Interim-Chair Sandra Sarkela, Coordinator Amanda Young- rude to other women. Two female students dropped Sarkela's class in the first couple weeks because of rude comments made to them. Been taking a lot of out of state students, then telling them they can't possibly finish their degrees within regular times, but must stay to take another year. Scam.

The university of Memphis is differant from other schools because it has a real scence of people wanting to help you succed and get to know you. If you don't understand a subject there is tutoring in nearly every building and the professors all answer e-mail rather quickly. It makes you feel like you are actually willed to suceed.

It was cheaper for my parents and it was close to home.

I transferred to University of Memphis. It was NOT my 1st choice or even an OPTION when I applied for schools.

It has a high female population....and an even black to white ratio.

The university of memphis is better, because their nursing program has a higher percentage of passing the NCLEX the first time than UT Martin. Also I had a brother graduate from here, it made my mother feel a lot better about me attaining an education here. This way I could have some insight on what to expect.

The University of Memphis is located in a relatively safe area of Memphis Tennessee, and the longest that campus police have ever taken to respond to a call is a minute and forty seconds. There is plenty of good food on campus and especially around campus within just two to three blocks. Once you get into Memphis, teachers will help you succeed as long as you act like an adult and come to class.

University of Memphis has kind of this small college campus feel in the middle of a mega city.

I am not really sure what is unique about my school. I work too many hours to pay bills to be involved in clubs and organization at my school.
