Right now one of the biggest issues is that not everyone that wanted housing for next year, got it. Many students also complain about the absurd costs for parking and for that matter, the lack thereof. The university plans on resolving these issues in the next few months.

The latest issue was the tearing down of the Rathskeller, the only on-campus restaurant. It had been there for years and years; both of my parents, whom attended 30 years ago, have fond memories of it. Going to the Rat was a big part of being UM students and many were upset to see it go. It will be relocated to a new building but I doubt it will be anything like it used to be. Many students are still very unhappy with the change.

1. The city of Coral Gables wants to build a road, right next to an existing road, over the school arboretum. 2. The city of Coral Gables doesn't want the school to build any new buildings or get rid of old ones (there are one or two vacant buildings rotting, literally rotting, on campus). 3. UM polices the students too much, there is less and less room for students to have fun. 4. Greek life is being edged out by Shalala. 5. The football team isn't too hot right now.
