Getting used to the freedom.
The hardest thing about freshman year is trying to figure everything out so quickly. Making friends, how to do well in classes, how to study, when to get to class, where to eat, when to eat, when to sleep, when to exercise, what club to join, what you want to do with your life, etc. It's a bit much! I am still figuring things out. The hardest thing for me was trying to balance work with fun. Everyone is crazed about getting good grades, but you'll burn out if you don't relax a bit.
