Duluth is unique because it is a university that isn't too small yet not too big. Even in lecture halls, teachers are able to get to know a student by name. What I enjoy most is that the professors are very personable and love interacting with students. There are also a lot of programs and groups available for first year students to become accustomed to the university and develop a community within the campus.

The University of Minnesota, Duluth, is unique because of the area it is located. Being next to Lake Superior, the school is environmentally aware. The school spends a lot of time and money creating a more green energy. My school focuses on becoming more energy efficient each year. The school itself promotes being a global citizen, which stresses the importance of taking care of Earth, not only for our community, but for the entire planet.

Sprit Mountain was very close by so I can snowboard frequently. Fun things to do off campus like canal park, spirit mountain, wisconsin point, and hiking. Brand new business building that is enviromentally friendly. Amazing hockey and football team.

University of Minnesota-Duluth is unique because everything is connected by tunnels and you never have to go outside in the winter. I love Duluth just for this. As a freshman, you never have to go outside because the dorms are connected to the school so most people wear shorts and t-shirts. Its a perfect school to go to if you love the winter, because Duluth has a lot of fun winter activities, but when going to school you don't have to walk through all the snow!

The University of MInnesota Duluth was unique to the other schools I considered mainly because of how helpful they were when I was applying. They acted like they genuinely cared about my questions and that they really wanted me to go there. None of the other schools I applyed to were even half as helpful and kind as UMD was. I also loved the fact that it is so close to Lake Superior and is a good sized school. It's not too big, and people are friendly. There are also quite a few options to do on weekends.

this community is very quality, and tight knit. It values morals for the most part, although it is a tought job market, there are good jobs to be found if you have the right qualifications. This school is also all enclosed, and all the buildings interconnected, this allows you to be able to go to all of your classes without having to worry too much about the weather, and they are all in the same area.
