This is a small school and you receive a lot of undivided attention from the faculty. Students that show initiative, have a plethora of opportunities to pursue research, participate in unique internships, and continue to receive support from the faculty long after they graduate. I had the opportunity to intern with a small orthopedic clinic, conducted research in neuroscience and inorganic chemistry, and received invaluable advice and recommendations from the faculty after I graduated, up until my acceptance to a medical school. This is not to mention various opportunities as a teaching assistant and a tutor.
It's pretty small and in a very rural area. There are not a lot of things do to in the small town of Morris so I feel like you get together more with people because there's not a whole lot to do besides hang out. Also although it's small it is very academically challenging. The small size also allows for a stronger relationship with the professors and I feel like they really care about each individual student.
Morris is a really small campus, but despite this I think that I am getting as good of an education as at the Univeristy in the Twin Cities. Also Morris has a giant wind turbine within walking distance of the school, not many other campuses can say the same. Morris felt like home to me as soon as I toured campus, even during the dead of winter. I haven't met any people who are mean or vincitive like in High School which is refreshing.
Rigor of curriculum, 4- year education program, small town feel, on-campus living, many leadership opportunities, faculty from many differecnt countries
Morris is a very small school/community that is accepting to people from all around the world. No matter where you come from, Morris will take you in and make you feel like you are apart of the family.
Morris is a small, public liberal arts school in a small town of Minnesota. This makes for a very involved student population, and numerous opportunities for all the students starting right away as a freshmen.
The students at this school really care about the environment and helping others. They are also very accepting of others who are different from them. Everyone in the community and on the staff/faculty are very open and the small class sizes allow for a more personal experience.
