Ranee

The kind of person that should attend my school is hard working, dedicate to learning, and involving in the community.

Bridget

Someone looking for a small, close-knit type community. Someone who enjoys the arts and being creative. Someone who enjoys political and current events. Someone who enjoys staying active in sports or keeping in shape.

Victor

A person seeking an outstanding liberal arts education for a relatively low price in comparison to private undergraduate institutions should attend this university. In addition to financial considerations, individuals who want to become valuable members of a closely knit community in and out of the academic settings should enroll at Morris. For those who want to party, Morris may not be a good fit because of the demanding academic curriculum. Social life is rather vibrant, yet a successful student has to be able to make sacrifices in order to succeed academically, those who can't usually transfer out.

Anyone who is open to new view points and ideas would feel very at home on the U of M Morris campus. If you're one who isn't afraid to be a little nerdy every once in a while (about anything ranging from Harry Potter to Pokemon) you're likely to enjoy the people of UMM very much. As long as you're accepting of others' differences and willing to work in an open environment, you'll feel at home at Morris.

Paige

I think really any type of person can attend this school. We have a wide variety of students so its easy to make friends and find people to relate to.

Jason

Anyone that desires a good education at a good price. People that desire big-city life most likely would not enjoy it here, though.

Lisa

A person who is looking for a challenge, has an open-mind, tolerant of others, has integrity, and is driven to succeed

Shannon

A typical student probably leans liberal, dresses however he/she feels, and is pretty socially and academically capable. They are open and accepting of others' viewpoints and differences. We have a lot of strong diverse organizations on campus, along with a few classes in things like "Dakota Language" that backs up our committment to diversity. It is a great place to learn about who you are, because while UMM is quite small, there are a lot of different people around, so you can still find where you best fit in.

If I would have to pick a "perfect person" for the school, it would have to be someone who cares about the environment and other people. Many of the students are vegetarians and almost all of the students recycle. The school even has "energy wars" for one month which intails turning off the lights in the dorm rooms and also in the hallways to try to conserve energy. This person would be someone who is very accepting of others and has liberal views.
