The Greek system has slightly taken over the campus. I myself am part of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and love it. There are numerous fraternities and sororities on campus, all working towards the same goal: representing the University of Mississippi as best as we can. All Greek organizations on campus host philanthropies throughout the school year, benefiting different local or global organizations. They could vary from the local soup kitchen, to Habitat for Humanity. Each Greek organization had something they would like to offer to the next incoming group of freshman, or transfers and try to display that as best they can. Some people believe that fraternities especially are all about partying. While we do have a fair share of parties, we also give back to the community as much as we can. Greek systems at Ole Miss are all about balancing the fun with the important tasks at hand.
