One of the best things that I have done on campus is getting involved, there are some groups that are a big deal to get on- such as Homecoming Steering Committee and the Alumni Association Student Board, but there really is a group for almost anything that you want to get involved in- I know I've stuffed mailboxes in the center for student involvement and there are hundreds!

Most popular would obvisouly sports: football, basketball, swimming, etc. Yes students in dorm's leave their doors open. I met my closest friends through many of my other friends. And my roomate. If I am awake at 2am ona Tuesday I am probably studying. Traditions: Tiger walk, Painting the M, etc. People party during weeknights here, so pretty often. People make fraternities and sororities out ot be fantastic, but its not for me. Last weekend I studied, worked out, watched a couple movies, and hung out with some friends.

Greek is the popular thing here. I was involved with magazine club. It was all female. I am a female in case you didn't know. Dorm doors are open when they are in the room. But we always locked ours when we left the building. Athletic events: All the major "balls" are popular. I felt football was the most commerical. The tailgating wasn't all that great. It's a D-I athletic program. Guest Speakers: yes. Theater: I went to one show. It was like a wannabe La Nouba or something. The music was too much. I think the creators tried too hard. Then again, it is theatre. Dating scene: yes there really is a dating scene. couples are crawling all over the place. Closest friends were dorm friends. Except for my first roommate, she sucked. Never go for the random roommate unless you're a lucky creature. I pray for the souls of the good people who have no other choice but to go random. My second roommate who I was friends with was the best. 2am on a Tuesday: homework, talking on the phone with my boyfriend at another college, or shooting the bull with my 2nd floor homies. The event of Homecoming is a tradition in itself. People party most nights. On a game days people start partying at 7am. How hardcore of them.. Frats and sors are very important to the frats and sors. Last weekend I was not at Mizzou. When I was at Mizzou I would go to frats or to a concert on the weekend. And I would sleep in because my mother wasn't there hounding me to get up. You can grab a bite downtown, do some homework and the library, stroll, watch porn, or go to concerts. You could even go to parties. And hey, you don't really have to drink during any of these events! Off campus: we have a Target and a mall. The mall has a drink stop that serves fabulous bubble teas. That is all I remember about the off-campus places to be.

I met the majority of my friends in the dorms. I probably would have hated Mizzou if I lived off campus for my first year; the best things about this school (and probably many universities) are the connections you make, the people meet and the fun you have after class. There are a few Mizzou traditions students are encouraged to do before graduation. Run through the columns towards Jesse Hall before your first classes start freshman year, then run through the columns away from Jesse at graduation. Climb Jesse Hall, though they have security cameras and will arrest you...but some students have done it. "Ride the Tiger" in the quad between Cornell and Strickland. My favorite things to do off campus are go to the Artisan and get coffee or watch the bands play, go to the Blue Note or Mojos and see some really great live music, go to Addison's to see some amazing murals and get some really great food, or just walk around the District.
