UMKC is located near many interesting social places, such as the Country Club Plaza, Power and Lights District, and Westport. There is a lot of restaurants, cafes, bars, and many other social places to hang out.

The best thing about my school, in my opinion, is the diversity. There are a lot of people different races and ethnicities that can be seen on campus. There are also activities and clubs to educate others about different ethnicities. There is no racial tension and the school has a very friendly atomosphere.

The best thing about my school is that there is no curfew to come on campus or to enter the residents halls on campus. This is the best thing about this school because other schools tend to lock you out or write one a salutation after a certain time to be in bed, and I feel that we are all adults, who shoud be able to come and go as we please.

The best thing about UMKC is the cultural diversity and location. It opens your mind to many different views, cultures, and ethnicities. The location is in the city and is easily accessible to many shops, restaurants, and activites. This provides for an ideal atmosphere.

The student community is the best. At the School of Biological Sciences we all stuck together & really helped eachother out. College is so much easier when you have an entire group working together. The advisors were also great. Any questions you had they were there to help. The number one reason I would recommend UMKC is the professors. These are some of the absolute best teachers I have ever experienced. They were always avaliable to help and were great and teaching easy ways to remember challenging topics.

I think the best thing about our school is its appearance. The campus is beautiful, especially in the spring and fall. The faculty are also great, and most of the professors really care about their students. There is a lot of camraderie here.

The best thing about UMKC for me is that it is close to home because I can simply drive home whenever necessary.

The best thing about my school is the Conservatory of Music and Dance. The faculty in the Conservatory is outstanding. It is truly a terrific school at which to pursue a musical career whether it be in vocal or instrumental performance, music education, music therapy, or even musical theatre. The Conservatory is like its own smaller school, with a close-knit family and small class sizes to ensure personal attention from the professors.

The best thing about UMKC is that I go here with my best friend. We have been friends since grade school and it was nice to know at least one person when I started here. The people on campus are not very friendly so having that one person who will always be there for you is comforting. I do not think I could have made it through my freshman year without her.

I'm a nerd due to the nature of my major, I like that in the library there are quiet areas for studying. The school is very diverse, people from different part of the world. I like how the medical school, dental school, nursing and pharmacy school are around each other, which creates an environment where students from different health profession can come and interact.

The best think UMKc offers is it's plethora of degrees offered. Because the school offers a variety of different programs, it is highly probable that anyone can attend the university and study in an area of interest that will benefit them for the rest of his/her life.

Because my school is small, it is more convenient to get to classes to and from housing on time. It only takes around 10-15 minutes to get around campus, whereas many of my friends' schools need a shuttle to get around. It is also easier to make it to class when there is bad weather, if one is arriving by foot. There are plenty of off-campus housing to still be able to walk to class within 10-15 minutes.

The best thing about my school is the cultral diversity it brings to the city. I have learned so much about my peers and teachers by attending this school. Learning among cultrally diverse students gives me a different perspective upon life and with my own way of thinking. My school is also research directed. This entails each professor to be well educated and prepared to teach students the knowledge required for each class.

The friends I have made. I joined a soririty to get to know people because I didn't know anyone when I came, and they became my family.

Close to home which allows me to work and go to school.

I love that it is a commuter school but it still has a big university feel, and it is very ethnically diverse.
