UMSL offers a lot of financial aid and the tuition is the cheapest of all the surrounding universities.
The most unique thing about our campus would probably be the fact that we have Army ROTC where you can enter the military as a commissioned officer and not many schools have these programs.

The school I go to now I came to because it was home. I went to Loyola in New Orleans but couldn't afford to stay there. I want to leave Saint Louis for a little while if I can that is why I am trying to gain more money for school expenses, a new computer and books.
The University of Missouri St. Louis provides undergraduate Students who live in llinois counties of Jersey, Madison, Monroe and St. Clair, receive nearly 40 percent off their tuition. It's called the "Metropolitan Rate Program," and it enables Metro-East residents to pay in-state tuition and fees at UMSL.*
It was more affordable.
A great nursing program
The University of MO St. Louis is a unique school because, even though it's not in the best of neighborhoods, the community, on campus, feels safe and friendly. I don't know many studnets that go to this university, but I feel confident in saying that the atmosphere is friendly. I can walk around campus, and not talk to a single person, yet still feel like I belong to a part of this university.
THe average age at our school is 27. I believe that it creates a more driven environment. However there is a very large number of first time freshmen here as well, I think that it adds much to the diversity of the campus, and the educational focus of its members.

We have a huge diversity at UMSL, it is one the major foreign exchange schools.
