What kind of person should not attend this school?

Like any college, students who are not ready to buckle down and do the work will not succeed. UMSL is a great campus with lots of extra curriculars, but people who come just for that and do not care about the work will end up failing.

This is very much a commuter school. A good majority of the students are students who are returning to school and most live off campus. It is not a school for students who are wanting the typical major university feeling where there are a lot of student activities etc.

Everyone needs a chance to attending college. When you attend college you mature yourself into a grown adult. You may face challenges but thats the life of growing up in college and even outside of college. Another thing that everyone should attend college is in reality you need to. Now that many jobs are hiring there will be alot of people competing for alot of the same postions. Meaning that in order to have a successful job, you need a higher education. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Anyone interested in a school with students that have lots of school spirit should not attend this school. The University of Missouri - St. Louis is known as a commuter school. This means that a large number of the students do not live on campus but rather commute to school every day. That is why so many of the students do not attend any of the events that are held on campus.

The kind of person that should not attend this school is the type of person who is undedicated, unfocused, or unmotivated. At this school instructors expect students to find out what the assingments are and to compleat them without incouragement from them. If a student falls behind it will be up to him or her to catch up and get on track again.
