University of Missouri-St Louis Top Questions

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

Viktoriya

What I brag about most is the rich culture and cultural backgrounds at my school. People come from all over just to go to school there. The teachers want their students to succeed and they are willing to do a lot in order for you to do so.

Melissa

I brag about UMSL saying that it was the best academic decision I've ever made: to transfer from a big state school to UMSL. I felt like I mattered, like I had influence. I knew my teachers and the administration, and I felt that they knew me. I would recommend UMSL to anyone who is looking for a small school feel with a big-school education, a financial bargain, and a top-notch degree program. I tell my friends I love UMSL and I give back as a member of the Alumni Association whenever I can.

Chris

I brag to my friends that I am not in any debt because of UMSL. I can attend there and pay my tuition with the help of tuition assistance through UPS and a Chancellors Scholarsip witht the rest coming out of pocket.

Shannon

UMSL is a great university for the working students and is centrally located, close to the iarport and public transportation (metrolink and bus). There's a new state of the art student center that allows you to grab lunch, study, unwind and meet with classmates to work on class projects. The faculty is accessible and willing to help students learn. Tuition at UMSl is very affordable compared to other local universities and colleges in St. Louis some of which cost nearly times five times as much and leave you feeling lost in the crowd. UMSL is a great university!

The cost. We are a commuter school with a lot of untraditional students so campus sports and social activities are not as big as schools with a large traditional student population

I love our Honor's Program. We have smaller classes and everyone seems to know eachother. We all communicate together and help eachother on homework or projects. Our classes consist of discussion mainly which makes the class more interesting. We are literally not just be lectured; we actually get to participate and make our own contributions. Our professors are really informative and really creative when it comes to thier curriculum.
