Parking

The parking and the wifi are my only complaints.

The most frustrating thing about my school is a silly little thing that all of the students know of simply as "the bricks". Montevallo is a a beautiful place with history everywhere you look, unfortantely a part of that history is the brick paved roads and walkways. They are old and many of them are broken or bumpy which makes walking to class a challenge. I guess you could say there arent a whole lot of issues at Montevallo since the worst one I can think of is also part of what makes this school unique and beautiful.

The most frustrating thing about my school would be my art classes. The projects are very time consuming and it can be difficult to focus in other classes and also not much time for a social life sometimes.

As Montevallo is a smaller school there are some programs and the like that they don't cover, this also has the effect of a general lack of scholarships offered by the school as well.

The most frustrating thing about the University of Montevallo is the lack of social activities on the weekend. Also, the food for dinner is not very good, but the lunch is fantastic.

The most frustrating thing about my college would have to be that there is constant construction going on, inhibiting me from easily getting from class to class. I comprehend that the construction that is going on is only going to enhance the environment of the campus, but it does slow things down when it comes to commuting from building to building.

You can walk across campus in less than five minutes. It's a small school and definitely comes with the "small school" feel. It's annoying having only a few places to go around campus and then on top of that, the city of Montevallo doesn't have much more. You have to drive fifteen miles to the next town to go shopping or see a movie.

The population tends to be very liberal, and as a conservative, I tend to disagree with a lot of people, however, they USUALLY tend to be very respectful of differences in opinions.

I often find that, as an older student, I am unable to take part in events due to my work/family situation. It can be frustrating. I think that more activities should include after work hours as well as more family focused themes.

There are two primary issues that I have come to see. The first being that there is very little choices in food around campus. There is the cafeteria, one on campus resuraunt, and an area where you can purchase small meals in the library. For students that do not live on campus or do not have a meal plan it is difficult eating the same thing each day. The last thing is that internet on campus for research is sometimes insufficient, which becomes very frustarating.

More times than not, I absolutely love being on a small campus. It provides a close community and an excellent learning environment. However, while a small campus can be my favorite thing about Montevallo, It can also be the most frustrating thing. The nearest Wal-Mart is twenty minutes away (if traffic is good) and the town surrounding the campus is extremely small. If you're looking for a booming, late-night college town, Montevallo is not the school for you; however, if you're looking for a welcoming, friendly, and personal college experience, Montevallo is the place to be.

The most frustrating thing about my school is the parking on campus. I am a commuter student and the parking is not the ideal situation, especially for commuters. I have to park in different places throughout the campus due to the placement of the parking lots and the amount of the spaces allotted for commuters.

Even though it's nice to go to a smaller school, sometimes it's difficult to find friends that have similar interests. The student body as a whole is pretty eclectic, so it is possible. Also, not many people are very active with campus events (clubs, University events, etc.).

The most frustrating thing about my school is the bricks that the campus roads are made of. They are a beautiful addition to the scenery and make our campus very unique, but they also cause several falls and trips while students, faculty, and guests are strolling around.

The age of some of the buildings. Especially my dorm's age. It just feel like everything is breaking apart and the bathrooms are the worst part.

The most frustrating thing about my school is the bricks. All of Montevallo's campus roads are hand laid brick. While it is beautiful, normal people are commonly found tripping and falling over the more walked on areas. I'd love to not potentially break my ancle on the way to every class.

Montevallo is such a wonderful school that there's not much to be frustrated about but if I had to pick one thing it would be their website. There's just not a much helpful information on there and for a new student who doesn't know much about the campus it would have been helpful to have a website to turn to.

I can't really say anything about the school has frustrated me thus far. The school's exactly how I want it to be.

Sometimes the diversity of the college can be frustating because you have to be changed to stand up for what you morally believe and may feel out of place when you disagree with others views.

Their lack of food options on campus. The cafeteria is poor quality. The only other place is Jazzman's, a coffee shop. Their food was once amazing then they decided to make (unneeded) changes, thus lowering their quality in my eyes.

The most frustrating thing about the Universtiy of Montevallo is that there are not a lot of programs or activities for non traditional students and commuters. They are working hard to fix this and change takes time and I hope to be apart of the process to bring this change about.

We have some students who do not care enough about their education. They think just because they got this big scholarship, they can get away with everything. They take away from those of us who actually care.

The fact that it is a small campus and that word travels like wildfire, much like a high school. Also that if you are in a fight or arguement with someone you WILL run into them at some point. Also that some of the teachers are unwilling to help ecause they are being paid a good bit of money and expect the students to care about what they make. However, the teacher problem is more then likely going to happen at all colleges.

There is nothing really about the university I have a problem with. If I had to say one thing that was a problem to me, it would be the location away from places of entertainment whenever I want to get away to relax, such as the movies.

Administrative offices do not communicate frequently enough with each other to ensure that students receive adequate information rather than ambiguous tidbits of information. Students often get the "run around" from offices that would rather transfer students to another office than answer their questions.

The most frustrating thing at this school is the food. The food is made fresh and there is always something there to eat like ceral. The quality of the food is very poor.

I have found nothing to be really frustrating during the time I have been at Montevallo. Just keep caught up with your campus mail and e-mail and you should be fine.

It is not close enough to grocery stores.
