Anyone that is okay with attending a smaller campus should consider it, because I have found that even though there is not a extreme amount of people, all the people here are really nice and accepting of who you are.

This school is great for all types of people. The school offers a wide variety of majors and is always trying to accomodate the changing workforce.

I think anyone who are accepting of others, when I say this I mean doesn't care about Pigmentation, Sexual Orientation, Religion, etc... it not like other giant schools either, the concrete jungles I call them. Its nice, with roughly 4500 students to get along and explore the diversity in humanity. I can say if you want to meet other students with diversed majors and get together and see how they all tie in together in the web of the world. Like today we learned how geology ties in with Architecture, Hygeine, Oceans, and Math and Science.

The kind of person that should attend this school is someone who is an introvert with extrovert abilities. The campus is not large and you have the perfect opportunity to be yourself without being judged.

Montevallo is a unique little town and campus. Students here should enjoy the college experience opportunities and focus on academics. There is not a great deal to do in this little town, but, there are activities to be involved in. Academics are extremely important here, and the social life is a little slow...except for athletics. There are a LOT of green activities and the Environmental Studies program is awesome and expanding.

Anyone who has become disillusioned in high school. Going through senior year, you are suddenly introduced to many rules and social constructs that make no immediate sense to most people, and it is very easy to find yourself bitter and angry about the trappings of America and its educational system. Montevallo goes out of its way to show you what these systems are, and what is expected of you as an adult. The teachers and professors are very excited to share their fields with you, and are very aware of all the arbitrary limitations of society.

Any type of human is welcome at Montevallo, but the people who truly thrive here are open-minded, happy, accepting, energetic, and artistic people. This school has many people who vary in terms of sexuality, religion, and race, so anyone interested in Montevallo needs to be open to these differences. Artistic people are also very successful here because of the amazing arts program and beautiful campus. It is also quite necessary to be energetic because students do A LOT of walking here, and with restaurants like Moe's on campus, it is tempting to lose track of calories!

Since beginning at Montevallo, I have not come across two people with blantantly similar backgrounds. From local teenage moms getting their education to students travelling across the world to play sports, if you feel like a small, intimate school is where you should be, Montevallo may just be for you.

If you enjoy peace and quiet all the time then the University of Montevallo is the place for you. A calm and friendly natured person would enjoy attending this university.

UM is a very diverse university. I would say that a student wanting to attend should be very open to meeting new people and being open to other peoples' views on life. Someone who is an all around person and not afraid to think outside of the box and act spontaneously would do very well in the environment UM provides. I love the uniqueness of being the only public liberal arts school in Alabama and each applicant should be willing to accept that UM is cut from a different cloth.

Montevallo is a liberal art college, so anyone who is majoring in a liberal art degree. Montevallo has a 17:1 student-to-faculty ratio, so if a person gets the most out of a teacher who is direct and always accessible, Montevallo is the school to look at.

An open person, somebody who wants to do hard work but likes to have fun too. Lots of art-centered activities and the people are hospitable. Should like a small town.

At the University of Montevallo, students get a well rounded experience from the people that attend to the education provided. The school is a liberal arts school with lots of variety among the students and teachers. Being at an arts school means there is no shortage on entertainment from theatre shows to sporting games. There is a wealth of activities to do on the campus. Montevallo is so much more than a university its a home. The average person could go here to the future scienctist to the jock to the artsy. The type of person who should attend this school would be someone who likes old antique-looking buildings and enjoys nature. Someone who is not as much concerned with football as with getting a college degree since we do not have a football team. The kind of person who should attend Montevallo would be laid back and enjoy being part of small community.

A unique individual who is accepting of others should attend Montevallo. The campus is lovely and styled like the 1800s. There are about 4,000 students total at Montevallo. The campus is small and hometowny.

Montevallo has a wide range of opitions for degrees so really anyone can attend. If they are looking for a relaxing enviroment where also a lot of fun goes down, this is the school for them. Montevallo is a small town and university, but we rock out like a big school. The connections you will make with people and professors will last for a life time. If you are looking for somewhere where you are not just a name on a page then this is the place for you.

Someone who doesn't feel like they would/do fit into a big school. Someone who likes one on one attention from teachers. Someone who has trouble making friends or even someone who is a social butterfly.

The type of person who should attend The University of Montevallo should be a art student or a music student. This school is known for those programs and our homecoming involves those kinds of students. We celabrate homecoming in a very unique way. Since our colors are purple and gold, a student picks a side (color) and cheers for their side. Each side puts on a play and they are then judged on spirt, costums, creativeness, and athletics. It is a very fun college, just as long as you involved.

i know that i'm partial to UM, but i truly think that anyone could attend UM and love it. it isn't a large school, but by no means is it small; the university makes up the small town of montevallo, but we're minutes away from larger cities; there are lots of people at UM - enough to meet a new person every day - but you're still able to nurture strong, close-knit relationships.

People that enjoy a small campus with a very small amount of people would love the University of Montevallo. It's very artistic and liberal, but also very friendly.

A Montevallo student should be three basic things: a "people" person, intellectually curious, and a person who thrives on individual engagement in the classroom. My university is probably the most liberal in the state of Alabama and we take great pride in being a symbol of the New South. Students here are kind, open-hearted, generous, and fiercely faithful to their fellow students. Any newcomer should expect to become part of a genuine community. In short, anyone can be happy here because even the so-called outcast is beloved and their intellectual heft cherished.

Anyone who is interested in music, theatre, business , or an education major of anykind should think about coming here. We have an excellent education dept. and music dept.

This school has a wide variety of students. It is a very big Liberal Arts school so people who would like to pursue a career in theater or art would be intersted. I am here for the great education program that they offer, so anybody that would like to be a teacher should come here as well.

Hard working people should go to Montevallo. The people and professors are very friendly here, so they would also have to be social. This school is full of excitement, and I enjoy the programs and social events on campus. There are a wide variety of students that go here, so no one should be excluded from the great experiences the University of Montevallo brings.

This school is for those who plan to graduate in four years and provide themselves with more than just a degree. Montevallo focuses on your school work but the community inspires you with more lessons and ideas which will propell you further than any letter grade ever could. But we also know hoe to have a good time while your here. Its kinda like a mullet; business in the front, party in the back.
