The person that should go here is a person that knows what they want to do. I think that they should get their Gen eds done at a comunity college and then go this college. It is cheeper that way. If you are serious about school, then this is the place for you. The have a wonderful nursing program, and teaching program. This is what they are known for.
Someone from Nebraska
A person who is interested in being involved and wants to get involved with activities in and around the school.
The University of Nebraska at Kearney prides itself in its education program. However, a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs are available to non-education majors. The type of person that should attend this school is one who wants to major in education in education and does not mind the relatively rural setting. The town of Kearney has a population of 30,000, but despite its size, has plenty to do on weeknights and weekends.
To attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney you need to keep an open mind. You'll be introduced to a variety of areas of study, ethnicities, and activities. If you've lived in a shell, it's time to come out. At this school, almost everyone strives to form the "home away from home," almost like a second family. The professors encourage not only academic success, but involvement int the community and on campus. College is a whole new ballpark but the University of Nebraska at Kearney welcomes all with arms wide open.
Any kind of person should attend this school. There is so much to offer as far as off-campus events go as well as on campus events. Being an athlete this place is perfect for athletics. I wish I had to ability to be at a Divison 1 NCAA school but I am very happy at UNK. A person who likes being at a school with small classes and interactive professors would fit in at UNK. I like the small town feel and how UNK has treated me so far.
I think that any kind of person can attend this school. We have all kinds of people on campus. Also, they range in ages. I have seen some people taking classes that are in their sixties and others that are only eighteen. There are also many people from different countries that attend the school as well as every state in the United States. There are quite people and very outgoing. It is a very diverse campus where everyone is welcome.
Someone who is looking for a big campus with a small school atmosphere. This school is also great for people looking to get involved in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities from intramural sports to clubs UNK has it all.
I would really like to extend the oportunity to anyone who is looking for a friend. I can't imagine going to a big University or College because there would be too much. UNK is just the right size for anyone who likes seeing their same friends everyday, but yet open to meeting new and exciting people. I highly recommend this school for anyone who wants a best friend to have for the rest of their life.
Aybody who wants a town that is large enough to have something to do but not be in a huge city.
All varieties of people fit in here.
