UNLV is very student friendly and provides a campus that is well rounded as well as diverse.

The University of Nevada Las Vegas is a melting pot for every culture, filled with endless opportunities, amazing faculty, and breathtaking scenery; the university challenges me both physically and academically and I find myself growing in knowledge every day that I attend.

My school is diverse and highly socially active but due to funding issues does not offer all the classes a student could need so it is difficult to find the class that you want.

My school is one of the most ethnically divided schools in the country. There is a lot of community in it and a good sense of school pride. It is a welcoming place.

unlv is basically comprised of two different looking sides of the campus. one side has a lot more concrete and is full of desert landscaping where the other has a bunch of trees and grass. i'm going to be biased and say the sciency areas of unlv are where the grassy areas are. those areas are really quite nice and peaceful and serene. the other side of campus seems a bit harsher bc of the large concrete pathway that connects everything but it is also really open and is where a lot of the people gather and spread out and converse. it is a nice contrast

UNLV is a task-oriented environment. The students are very focused on going to class and less on the social aspect of college life.

UNLV is a good place to get a good foundation education, particularly for Las Vegas residents, although their Hospitality program is the best in the country.

The University of Nevada-Las Vegas brings every type of person from across the world in for the "Las Vegas" experience but they also maintain a quility education at this school, which is taught by teachers that understand a student's point of view.

The University of Nevada - Las Vegas is a school that tries to promote itself as accepting to all different kinds of people with all different kinds of backgrounds while it really doesn't matter and you can only suceed if you have the money and the resources.

UNLV is a commuter school and has a population of students that are from different places around the world and across the country. Young people are drawn to UNLV because it is situated within fabulous Las Vegas which is prized for its nightlife and entertainment oppurtunties. The professors at UNLV are brillant and not only provide academic wisdom but real life applicable wisdom as well. The staff and faculty are genuinely involved and concerned with the students and I received a great deal of support from faculty, classmates, and staff in all of my endeavors.

Very multicultural. The school is very spread out so people tend to come in and get out. There is not a whole lot of community as a whole at UNLV but within your own departments you become very close with a lot of the people that you share a major with.
