Our school is best known for its diverse population, football and basketball teams, winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding, and its participation in the Millennium scholarship for all in state students.

On a national level I would say our school is becoming more and more famous for our basketball team. However we are known also a good engineering school.

The University of Nevada Reno is best known for three things: an excellent mining and engineering program, an outstanding agriculture program, and an exemplary bilogical sciences program.

The programs at the University of Nevada are challenging and full of opportunities. We have a Journalism school among the top ten in the nation with 6 Pulitzer Prize winners (One more than Stanford!) and research opportunities that undergrads wouldn't be able to have at most other universities. We also have a school of medicine and amazing College of Business. There are over 70 degrees a student can work for! The campus community is also amazing to be a part of and enjoy.
