The University of Nevada also has a remarkable and well deserved reputation for research, particularly in the psychology department. Being located in Reno and so close to Tahoe means that opportunities for both social and outdoor activities abound.

The University of Nevada Reno has a very prominant Medical program and athletic program - football, basketball, etc. There is also a larger Basque studies progam which I don't believe is offered in many schools. There are many programs that have been cut at UNr, such as the agricultual program and the bio-chemical program and interior design program.

I think anyone could attend the University of Nevada because there is such a diverse student body. I would just make sure that you love snow and school spirit!

Honestly, I think anyone wanting a higher education or who has a desire to learn should attend UNR. The university is one of the best places in Reno, even though we are mere blocks from the downtown casinos. People of all majors should attend UNR, because it offers quite a variety in notable majors. Undergraduates as well as graduate students have many options in the degrees they choose to pursue. The medical school, while not on an ivy league school level, is also quite competitive and overall great.

A person who wishes to be provided an infinite number of opportunities for their future should attend the University of Nevada Reno. Any person can be whoever they want to be, and pursue anything they want too. The differences between the students are shared and experienced while they each unite under the common goal for higher education.

The typical UNR student is first and foremost a spirited individual. There are few students who do not value and support our renowned football, basketball, and volleyball teams. Not only are games a way for students to cheer on their team, but a way for all of us to socialize and come together every weekend. And while Greek life doesn’t dominate our campus it acts an integral part of the school spirit as well as educating the campus and community on volunteering and giving back. Outside of school there are tons of outdoor sports and activities to partake in.

Colleges and Universities are there for people to obtain an education, if people aren't serious about obtaining a certificate or degree, they shouldn't waste their time. The University of Nevada-Reno is a wonderful school for those students who are unsure of which career they wish to pursue. The quality of education compared to cost is excellent, and it is easy for students to enroll in various classes to see what they like. Reno is a beautiful city, we are a half hour drive to Lake Tahoe and California, so people who love the outdoors and are atheletic (whether it be skiing or swimming) will feel at home here. I think that anyone should attend the University of Nevada. There are dozens of majors to choose from, the classes are interesting and engaged, and I think there is something here for everyone. There are tons of clubs and student organizations, as well as many sports to join and activities to attend. Whether, one is an Art major, a Science major, a History major, or anything in between, I think that anyone should feel welcome and would love attending this college.

A self motivated student would do well here. There is a lot of homework involved regardless of your field of study. However, there is a plethora of activity for a young adult. All in all, if the student is not an avid partier this school is perfect!

This school offers incoming freshman the chance to learn how to make friends, become active in one of over 200 clubs, and to be a part of the campus community. Attend this school if you are very self motovated. The school is cutting must tutoring programs and it is very hard to get help in the engineering deptartment. The liberal arts colleges are a lot more relaxed and pretty easy. If you are into partying and your not going to stay focused there is really nothing stopping you from getting lost and failing everything. No one at the college will say anyting nor suggest counseling, they will just let you fail.

Before academics, I think it is important that outdoorsy people attend this school. It's a beautiful city and campus and that beauty can only be seen if you spend time outside. As for academics, a studen attending UNR must know that while we are not an ivy league school the teachers care the same and the material isn't any easier. You've got to focus, work hard and interact with your fellow students while still leaving some time for fun on your days off.

A type of person that should attend the University of Nevada Reno are the ones who enjoy a good learning environment. The ones who are comfortable in a small town yet always likes to find something new to do. Reno is great for students who are outgoing because there are always stuff to do such as snowboarding, shopping and even casinos.
